Album Review: Cheap Perfume, Don't Care. Didn't Ask.
Sweaty, gnarly, and politically charged, Colorado-based Cheap Perfume's third album, Don't Care. Didn't Ask, is a 28-minute anthem for Americans who need to scream their guts out. Released in early October, the album was my introduction to the band, self-identifying on Instagram as femcore punk rock. It took all but two seconds of listening to know they'd live up to their word.

Concert Review: Controller with Cyanide Sayonara and Tearing Down the Masquerade from Stan's Room at Piere's in Ft. Wayne, IN!
It’s too bad the weather couldn’t match the heat coming from Stan’s Room at Piere’s Entertainment Center in Fort Wayne, IN on December 19th, 2025. Although it was winter, it might as well have been July. The “Christmas in July December” show that was originally set for July, happened this night instead. Cyanide Sayonara, Tearing Down the Masquerade, and Controller packed up the heat of summer and brought it on stage and ignited the place, with no apologies to the winter sea

Concert Review: Ekoh- The Broken Heart Collector Tour Minneapolis, Minnesota
A sold-out crowd packed into Minneapolis’ 7th Street Entry on December 13 for Ekoh’s Broken Heart Collector Tour, turning the already small venue into an intensely intimate space where every lyric, beat, and emotion felt amplified. With barely any distance between artist and audience, the night unfolded less like a typical concert and more like a shared emotional experience.

Interview with Zack Smith, Lead Singer of Wavy Trees about their new video for “Growing Up”.
What inspired the concept for the music video?
We had a different concept where I would get eaten by a shark but then Sean Barrett (the director of the music video) had the better idea and we just ran with it!

Concert Review: The Beths w/ Illuminati Hotties, Phoebe Rings, Brooklyn Paramount, Brooklyn, NY
In the summer of 2022, I worked as a production intern for BRIC Celebrate! Brooklyn, a multi-week community music festival in Prospect Park. The days were long and hard, but the joy that came from pulling off successful and memorable nights of music was worth it every time. One of my favorite shows came towards the end of the season where this up-and-coming group from New Zealand played to a massive crowd of excited indie rock fans.

Concert Review: The Mallett Brothers at the State Theater, Portland, Maine
The Mallett Brothers Band performed at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine, on December 6, 2025. Led by brothers Luke and Will Mallett (guitars, vocals) as core members, alongside Nick Leen (bass), Andrew Martelle (fiddle, piano, mandolin), and Brian Higgins (drums percussion), the country-rock band known for their energetic live shows was terrific. Playing in their own town where the group was formed in 2009, the Mallett Brothers Band had a simple goal that night:

Concert Review: Portugal. The Man w/ La Luz at Terminal 5, Manhattan, NY
The winter has begun to descend upon the east coast, with earlier sunsets and cooler temperatures bringing a slightly higher level of difficulty with traversing in a mainly walkable city. However, the stark contrast between the freezing temperatures outside and the warmth inside of packed out rooms always make the trek worth it, and Portugal. The Man certainly brought the heat with their show at Terminal 5.

Concert Review: Don Broco Delivers a Raucous, Personal Show in Nottingham, U.K.
Don Broco tore into the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena on December 2nd with the kind of chaotic, electric energy only they can deliver. With a perfectly curated lineup of openers - Magnolia Park, State Champs, and Yonaka - the night felt set up to be huge from the start. The atmosphere was immediately loud and visceral, confirming that the packed arena was ready for an evening of relentless momentum, crowd-surfing, and mosh-pit euphoria.
