Today, four-time GRAMMY nominee Grace Potter released her new single “Spacewalking Woman,” a celebration of her longtime friend, NASA astronaut Jessica Meir, and their shared fascination with the intersection of science, creativity and exploration. The song took shape through an extraordinary long-distance collaboration, with Potter writing from Earth and Meir contributing ideas and terminology from aboard the International Space Station. The world of Axis Mundi has finally been revealed. Swedish metalcore visionaries Imminence have unleashed their sixth studio album via Sumerian Records, bringing their most ambitious creative vision to life in a collision of crushing heaviness, haunting orchestration, and cinematic storytelling. More than an album, Axis Mundi is an immersive journey through a dark, mythological world, brought to life through music and film on a scale the band has never attempted before.

What inspired the theme or concept behind this album? The record I named ‘Too Pop For Punk... Too Punk To Care’ because I thought it was a fun and appropriate play on words which really describes what it is I do. I mesh punk, rock and roll and power pop into my own sound. It isn’t reinventing the wheel by any stretch but it is all the music I loved and listened to growing up and eventually playing and performing in groups of those genres.
