Interview: James Clark of The James Clark Institute Chats About New Single, "Reluctantly in Love" Out Friday February 13, 2026
What inspired the creation of this single?
It's me poking fun at myself. Seemingly, I'm not very good with commitment or so I've been told several times in the past. I'm not saying it's true but I currently live all alone.

Interview: Mia McIntosh Chats About Her Upcoming Single, "Are You Sorry", Out 2/13/2026
What inspired the creation of this single?
"Are You Sorry" was inspired by stories I heard from people about bad relationships they had been in. It made me think about how they were feeling and what a song from their point of view would sound like. I like writing from other people's point of view because I love storytelling and I've been writing stories since I was little.

Interview: Denise Marsa Chats About New Music Video for "Hole" (Until Dawn Remix)
What inspired the concept for the music video?
I wanted to bring light to the song, as it is a pretty heavy topic and I thought what better place than a music store. Music is healing for so many and I wanted to feature an environment that was supportive and warm. Of course, my neighborhood music store was the perfect spot and when I asked Jeff Slatnick if we could film the music video there, he said yes, without a pause.

Interview: Get to Know Penny Rebels
What first got you into music?
JB - My parents record collection, and long drives with my folks listening to cassettes.
EWC - My earliest memory was finding my dad's vinyl collection, and it was a record by The Shadows. I remember the cover had a Vox amp with some Fender Stratocasters leaning up against it. I think it had a song called Apache on it…

Interview: Michael Bianchi of Consequence of Energy Chats About Their New Album "We Are One" Released on Friday January 30, 2026.
What inspired the theme or concept behind this album?
What’s interesting is that the album wasn’t fully understood while we were making it. We didn’t start with a rigid concept. The meaning revealed itself after the process. Only toward the end did we realize the record was about division—internal and external, personal and collective—but also about the duality of life’s contrasts: light and shadow, strength and fragility, instinct and consciousness.

Interview: Pete Ganbarg, Grammy Winning Producer & Music Executive, Chats About His Podcast, Rock & Roll High School and Much More
What inspired you to start Rock & Roll High School, and how has it grown from
your original concept?
When I was running the A&R (Artists & Repertoire) department of Atlantic Records from 2008 - 2024, I realized that a lot of our younger employees didn’t know a lot about the history of contemporary music. I’ve always believed that a clear understanding of the past is the best way to predict the future, so we started teaching class inside Atlantic to introduce the great h

Interview with Zack Smith, Lead Singer of Wavy Trees about their new video for “Growing Up”.
What inspired the concept for the music video?
We had a different concept where I would get eaten by a shark but then Sean Barrett (the director of the music video) had the better idea and we just ran with it!

Interview: The James Clark Institute Talks About New Single, It's Still Snowing Outside
What inspired the creation of this single?
"I had always wanted to write a Christmas song. After I had written Orange Christmas (our holiday single last year) I figured I could cross that off my list of song subjects. Then out of nowhere, in February of all months It's Still Snowing Outside fell from the sky and began dancing around in my head like sugar plums."

Interview: Ken Tizzard And Music For Goats Talk About Their Upcoming Single "Kiss Me Deadly" Out 11/18/2025!
What inspired the creation of this single?
At 14 years old, skateboard under combat boots and bass guitar in case along for the ride. Clark is in front of me trying his best to get a good power slide going, his blond locks flowing like a flock of seagulls. Through Bannerman Park, on way to Bannerman Street, where the row houses of downtown St. John’s (Newfoundland) begin. This is where our good friend Johnny Fisher lives in a sweltering second story bedroom with a cassette b

New Single Interview: The Sun Harmonic Chat About Glory Days
What inspired the creation of this single?
Hey! This is Kaleb Hikele from The Sun Harmonic, I'll take the reigns on the interview and speak on behalf of the band. So, this song was first written by me in a furniture delivery van, quite a few years ago, working a manual labour job and daydreaming about the glory days. I wrote it in my head while I was driving (which has happening numerous times with a bunch of my personal favourite songs) and I think I recorded a clip on m
