On Tuesday June 30th Godsmack brought their "The Rise of Rock" World Tour to the Empower
Supporting Godsmack on this hot and steamy night were the Stone Temple Pilots & Dorothy. This tour has been spread out over several months: first, a 14-date run from May 7th to May 30th mostly through the southern states, this was followed by a 13-date run from June 12th to July 3rd in the central & eastern parts.

Concert Review: Triumph and April Wine at Darien Lake Amphitheater in Darien Center, NY
It’s always fun, in rock journalism, to make and debate lists when discussing genres of music. You know: 50 greatest guitarists, Top 500 albums of all time, Big 4 of thrash metal, stuff like that. If there was a “Big 3” of Canadian hard rock – and I’m not talking the later 80s wave all-out heavy metal like Anvil, Exciter and Razor, but old-school, vintage hard rock – you’d almost certainly have to put Rush as #1 - they were the biggest, longest-lasting, and sold the most albums.
