Music Review: Marmozets Release CO.WAR.DICE
After bursting onto the rock scene in 2014 with their debut album “The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets” followed by their acclaimed sophomore project, “Knowing What You Know Now”, the Marmozets all but vanished from the music world. Eight years later, after COVID, finding regular jobs, marriage, and becoming parents, the Bingley based alt-rock group is set to unleash their long awaited new album, “Co.War.Dice”, on May 22, 2026.

Music Review: Knifetwister Records’ Not in Our City 2, A Punk Rock Compilation to Benefit Immigrant Rights
I just got done listening to Not in Our City 2. This was right up my alley. I have always been a fan of compilations. Growing up, I always looked forward to Punk-O-Rama, Punk Goes…, and the numerous Fat Wreck Chords compilations, just to name a few. It’s something I feel like we are robbed of as we’ve moved into this digital era of music. Sure, we get curated Spotify playlists, but it’s just not quite the same. To me, a compilation goes beyond artists who are similar.

Music Review: Motionless in White Release New Single, Playing God Ft. Slipknots Corey Taylor
For 20 years, Motionless In White has been writing music about religion, politics, corporate greed, and mental health. For 20 years, Motionless In White has been grinding on the road, a staple in the metalcore scene including the early days of Vans Warped Tour. For 20 years, the Scranton, PA based group has been evolving their sound, earning them new fans and chart success. So, it makes sense that the band’s 7th studio album, set for release on July 17th, 2026, is titled “Deca

Music Review: NorthFork's Single I'll Be Fine
Today I got the honor of discovering and reviewing a new band NorthFork and their new single "I'll Be Fine". Hailing from Tuolumne, California NorthFork has an interesting sound reminding me of much of the early 2000's rock with a hint of the sound you frequently find in modern country rock.
Think if Seether was contracted to be the supporting band for Hardy.

Music Review: Stacked Deck: 'House of Cards' is a Winning Hand for Amity Affliction
"The Amity Affliction" has returned with their eagerly anticipated release, "House of Cards." It's been three years since their previous release, excluding the 2024 redux of "Let The Ocean Take Me." Much has changed in the band during this time. They welcomed bassist/vocalist Jonathan Reeves, who replaced Ahren Stringer. I was curious to see how the band's chemistry would evolve and whether Jonanthan Reeves' clean vocals would match or surpass Ahren's.

Music Review: Noah Kahan Turns Reflection Into a Reckoning: A Documentary and Album That Hit Where It Hurts
With a new album release today, and a deeply personal documentary that was released on Netflix April 13th, Noah Kahan is stepping into his most introspective chapter yet - one that trades nostalgia for confrontation.
The Noah Kahan Documentary pushes past the usual rise-to-fame storyline, instead focusing on the stillness that follows success. It lingers in uncertainty, burnout, and identity - offering an unfiltered look at the weight behind the music.

Music Review: Holy Wars Release Shadow Work/Light Work
Holy Wars aren’t interested in competing for volume anymore. They’re aiming for something that sticks long after the noise dies out.
On their latest release, Shadow Work/Light Work, the band trades in easy impact for something slower, heavier, and far more deliberate. This isn’t a record built on instant gratification or algorithm-friendly spikes. It’s a slow burn, one that leans into discomfort, tension, and the kind of emotional weight that doesn’t resolve cleanly.

Music Review: Vacant Voice’s ‘Waste’ Is 2 Minutes of Pure Hardcore Chaos
Vacant Voice" delivers a powerful punch with their single "Waste." This 2:07 track is explosive, creeps with eerie atmospheric textures, and is unapologetically raw. Simply put, if you love Every Time I Die (ETID), Knocked Loose, Stray From the Path, and Boundaries, then you have found your new favorite underground band. Let's dive into this!

PINKNOISE, a genre-bending musical project, is set to release their new EP FLESH AND BONE on April 17th, 2026 and I would not sleep on this if I were you. Scoring hundreds of thousands of followers on social media and racking up millions of streams in the span of just one year, they are a force to be reckoned with. This EP is full of tracks that have seriously relatable lyrics that further exposes Foxx’s absolutely out of this world vocals. At the front of the band, Kasey

Music Review: Belle & Chain's "Don't You Worry Babe"— A Compelling Blend of Western Rock, Alt-country, and Introspective Lyrics
If a smooth blend of western rock, alt-country, and textured vocals is what you're after, look no further than Belle & Chain's debut single, "Don't You Worry Babe." Fronted by singer-songwriter Spencer Grammer alongside instrumentalist, songwriter, and vocalist Davis IL, this tune is a compelling blend of dynamic sounds and introspective lyrics set for release April 9, 2026.

Music Review: The Coup de Grace – No Stone Unturned/The Art of Survival (Red Decibel Records 2026) Album Review
This new release is a double-LP vinyl retrospective by Minneapolis, MN heavies The Coup de Grace.
The Coup de Grace were a great band. As background for those who may not know them, The Coup were a thrash metal-meets-90s-hard-alternative-rock band who came up in the fertile Minneapolis music scene in the later 1980s. They post-dated by a few years the more famous bands that arose from that scene (Prince, Replacements, Husker Du, Soul Asylum), and started life as many meta

Music Review: Free Throw – Moments Before the Wind Album Review: A Balanced Look
Free Throw has returned with their latest album, "Moments Before the Wind," and I'm finding it challenging to write this review. I'll always have a special place in my heart for Free Throw because they were the first to give me a chance when I was just starting out in concert photography, even before I became a photojournalist. At the time, I lacked a resume, had only photographed a charity event, and was inexperienced and unfamiliar with the rules, yet they gave me an opport

Music Review: Girl In The Year Above Releases "Mama, My Heart is Achin’"
About a year ago, in one of those rare moments where the internet gets it exactly right, I came across a fragment of a song I didn’t know I needed. I didn’t just like it; I recognised myself in it. There was something achingly familiar within the lyrics, as though it had articulated a feeling I hadn’t yet found the language for. The song was ‘Wet Paint’ by Girl In The Year Above. It lingered in my mind, making me feel as though the song had a magnetic pull that settled under

Music Review: ERRA’s Seventh Symphony: A Deep Dive into the Immersive Layers of Silence Outlives the Earth
ERRA is back with a new era… Okay, all bad puns and dad jokes aside, ERRA is back with their newest release, “Silence Outlives the Earth.” I'll admit right away that this album is fantastic. It has atmosphere, grit, clean production, and if you haven’t already listened to it, I highly recommend you do. “Silence Outlives the Earth” has the classic ERRA sound and feel, but they also explore new realms in sound and lyrically. Now let’s dive into “Silence Outlives the Earth.”
