Concert Review: The Melvins; The Savage Imperial Death March Tour: A Glorious Onslaught of Sound and Soul
The Savage Imperial Death March Tour is exactly what it sounds like—ferocious, unforgettable,
and steeped in sonic reverence. A double dose of heavy-hitting experimentalism came to town,
courtesy of the genre-defying Melvins and the hypnotic force that is Titans to Tachyons.

Concert Review: Deafheaven w/ Gatecreeper, Trauma Ray at Irving Plaza, Manhattan, NY
Deafheaven have returned with a vengeance to reclaim their rightful throne in the metal world. It’s been a long four years since their post-rock opus Infinite Granite, and an even lengthier wait for fans of the blackgaze style that put the California based quintet on the map, but with Lonely People With Power, Deafheaven brings together elements of black metal, shoegaze, and even drone music to cultivate a monumental triumph of a record. In what felt less like a tour and more

Concert Review: Feeder at Koko, London, U.K.
Feeder doesn’t just play gigs — they craft memories. And on a warm Sunday night in Camden, Grant Nicholas and Taka Hirose and co reminded a sold-out KOKO why they’ve long held a cherished spot in the UK’s musical conscience.

Concert Review: Sleigh Bells at The Observatory
Sleigh Bells have returned with new music after several years off and like any proper millennial, I was itching to be in that pit. Sonic energy, body pulsing, bones rattling—to no surprise, that’s precisely what they delivered, and then some.

Album Review: Arcade Fire's, Pink Elephant!
The Canadian indie- rock band Arcade Fire dropped their 7th studio album on May 9th, 2025. This collection of music is titled, Pink Elephant, and follows up their last album, We from 2022.
This band's sound has always been on the softer side of rock, but following their 2022 album, Pink Elephant is comprised of 10 songs, three of which are instrumental only! Tracks 1, 6 and 9 respectively.

Single Review: Halsey and Amy Lee, Hand That Feeds!
Neither Halsey nor Amy Lee of Evanescence are strangers to having tracks involved with films, but the converging of the two wasn’t something that most people would have thought of. Amy Lee’s haunting vocals feel like they lend themselves to something darker, and more ethereal, while Halsey has never failed to bring us a healthy serving of emotionally charged pop. Pairing the two of them is something that almost feels like it shouldn’t work, but it most certainly does.

Album Review: Dexter and The Moonrocks – Happy to Be Here
There’s something about a band that sounds like they’ve lived every note they play — like the dirt under their fingernails and the ache in their lungs found their way into the mix. Dexter and The Moonrocks are that kind of band. On their new EP, Happy to Be Here, the Abilene-based quartet proves they’re not just chasing a dream but dragging it through the dust and setting it on fire.

Album Review: Sleep Token, Even In Arcadia
Has Sleep Token Taken Over the World?
It certainly seems so. At this point, if you haven’t heard of Sleep Token, either you live under a rock or your Spotify algorithm thinks you're still in 2012. With over 8 million monthly listeners and even a shout-out on the Grammy website, this UK band has officially leveled up from underground darling to full-blown cult, musically and maybe spiritually. Despite their pop and electronic influences, they’re still firmly rooted in the

Concert Review: Invent Animate & Silent Planet, Bloom in Heaven Tour, Grand Rapids Michigan
nvent Animate closed out the show performing their critically acclaimed and my personal favorite album of 2023 “Heavener” in full, with a slight twist… They decided to change the order of the songs which threw a big curveball to me as this is quite possibly my most listened to album of my entire life. The band came charging forward starting with False Meridian which is another perfect encapsulation of how bands are adding “Thall” elements into their riffs and breakdowns.
