Concert Review: Pierce the Veil at Addition Financial Arena at University of Central Florida in Orlando

Emo and posthardcore legends Pierce The Veil took on the road again this Fall on the second leg of their 2026 “You Can’t Hear Me” tour across North American and as one of the final stops made their way to Addition Financial Arena at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Beginning the night of the four band bill was pop punk band Like Roses. Going into the show I hadn’t listened to any of their music but just from the first song I was hooked and understood right away how they fit as an opener for Pierce the Veil. They brought lots of energy and good vibes starting off the night getting the crowd going even with their short less than 30 minute long set. Even though I entered their set without knowing any of their music I left a fan and know I wasn’t the only one. I hope I get to see them again soon with a set longer than what they had as the first opener.

After Like Roses got the crowd warmed up bringing great music and good vibes it was time for the second opener Ecca Vandal to take the stage. Ecca Vandal was definitely the black sheep of the bill bringing a different sound than the rest of the lineup as an alternative act using hip-hop and punk influences however by no means does that discredit the incredible set they put on. Although different the time they had on stage had the crowd engaged and they definitely brought energy using up the whole stage they had. Not only did they sound incredible but they put on a great performance and were lots of fun.

With the crowd ready for the act they waited outside Addition Financial Arena all day for, there was still one more band as the tours direct support HEALTH was to take the stage that was set by the first two openers. HEALTH is a band I’ve heard so much about and I was very interested and excited to finally see perform live. Although being ominous in their stage mannerisms and lighting setup, the three piece group brought tons of energy and sounded phenomenal. They had the crowd engaged the entire time and put on an amazing performance. Outside of the song they did with Bad Omens last year I hadn’t heard much of their music but I can say without a doubt I left their set a fan.

Finally, with the stage cleared and curtains down it was time for who everyone was waiting for, emo legends Pierce the Veil. With the drop of the first curtain was the loudest I’ve ever heard a crowd at any show before. Opening with the album opener of their latest album “The Jaws Of Life” the 5 curtains behind the first curtain with artwork of their albums dropped and the band emerged, immediately having every person in the building in their grasp. The band put on one of the most energetic performances I’ve seen and engaged with the crowd every chance they got. From jumping off risers to pointing at people in the crowd they were having as much fun as everyone who was there to see them. They played a very diverse mix of their discography including hits and deeper cuts like “Yeah Boy and Doll Face” which they brought back for the first time since 2017 earlier this year on the first leg of this tour. Pierce The Veil is a band you have to see live in your lifetime and once again put on one of the greatest sets I get to say I’ve ever seen, even topping the first time I saw them earlier this year at Welcome To Rockville. There’s a reason Pierce the Veil has found the success they have and why they’re considered legends in the posthardcore and emo scenes.
