Concert Review: Bad Omens with Beartooth and President at Prudential Center, Newark, NJ
The career trajectory of artists and groups in the alternative music scene are always fascinating studies, and Bad Omens journey might be one of the more interesting to glance at in recent memory. The band has been grinding it out since 2014, steadily releasing albums and touring as the first or second support on bills, but it was their 2022 album The Death Of Peace Of Mind that put them on the map outside of the core fanbase. In the last few years, Bad Omens’ career has rece

Concert Review: Three Days Grace Alienation Tour Ft. The Funeral Portrait and I Prevail at Hershey's Giant Center
Three Days Grace's Alienation Tour melted The Giant Center at Hershey. They brough along two bands that could not be further across on the rock spectrum from each other, The Funeral Portrait and I Prevail. Each band had hordes of rabid fans in attendance. I arrived at the venue about an hour before it was scheduled to start and the lines to get in were halfway around this very large arena complex.

Concert Review: Boy George and the Culture Club at Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem, PA
Boy George and the Culture Club brought the 1980s, nightclub party to the Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem, PA. I couldn't of been happier to cover this concert. I grew up in the 1980's my core memories start just as MTV hit the airwaves. I have fond memories of seeing the Culture Club's video's and watching Boy George strut his authentic self. The videos were always filled with so much color and dancing, they had a feeling of freedom that I recognized even as a young

Concert Review: MX Lonely w/ Shower Curtain, Bloodsports, and Wiring at Market Hotel, Brooklyn, NY
If you stand on the southeast edge of the Myrtle Broadway stop on the J and M train, you can see a light coming from the corner window of a building. That light emanates from the back of the stage of Market Hotel, a DIY music venue that has been in operation since the early 2000s, providing a stage for the best the New York music scene and beyond has to offer. While the space has recently become home for more techno events and themed DJ sets, they still house incredible lineu

Concert Review: Aaron Lewis at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN
On February 27th, Aaron Lewis brought his Stateliners to the pews of Ryman Auditorium, transforming the Church into something between a honky-tonk revival and a political rally.
If you bought a ticket, you likely knew the assignment. This is Lewis’ alt country chapter, far removed from the angst-soaked roar of Staind. What you may not have anticipated was just how completely the evening would prioritize ideology before melody.

Concert Review: Kenny Wayne Shepherd with Jimmie Vaughan at the Historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN
On February 28th, the pews of the "Mother Church" filled with electricity and expectation. Ryman Auditorium has seen its share of legends, but there was a different charge in the air this time.
The room buzzed with the promise of a record that helped redefine modern blues three decades ago. Kenny Wayne Shepherd was back to celebrate 30 years of Ledbetter Heights, the album he began writing at 16, recorded and released at 17.
