Concert Review: LOLO at Antone’s Night Club in Austin, TX

I first discovered LOLO during COVID in 2020. I’ve followed her since and watched her grow as a pop rock artist. LOLO quickly became a favorite artist of mine. So when I got the opportunity to photograph her live I jumped at the chance.
LOLO is out on tour in support of her second full length album God Forbid A Girl Spits Out Her Feelings. The tour is aptly named God Forbid A Girl Goes On Tour. I’m seeing LOLO on her stop in Austin TX at the famous Antone’s Night Club.
LOLO opens with a few hit new songs, The Devil Wears Converse, Pretty Little Wreck & GFAGSOHF. She is a natural performer. You can't help but be in a good mood watching her on stage. Her face is so expressive as she is singing. It’s hard to keep my attention on the job of photographing her performance because you want to be a fan and crowd participate. But It doesn’t stop me from singing along while peering through the camera view finder. The rest of the night featured hit bangers like The Floor is Lava, Debbie Downer and Hot Girls in Hell. LOLO played 19-20 songs (I lost count along the way).
LOLO’s set was solid from start to end. The performance featured a fan choice song, Hurt Less, and an alternate version of the Plain White T’s Hey There Delilah. The biggest take away of the night for me was how personable LOLO was during crowd interactions. She was funny and sweet. I’ve seen some incredible shows this year but this one ranks as one of the best of my 2026.
