Concert Review: Common Kings Bring More Than Reggae Rock to the LA County Fair
On May 23, 2026, Common Kings, the Orange County based reggae rock band with Pacific Island roots, took the stage at the LA County Fair in Pomona, California. Opening the evening was Australian-born singer-songwriter Sammy Johnson, whose music draws from his Māori and Polynesian roots. Johnson was well received by the crowd. Between songs, he kept people laughing and engaged with his humor, holding the audience's attention from start to finish.

Public Opinion played at XBK Live in Des Moines, IA June 4th, 2026 for the Co-headline Midwest tour with Squint. Concert Review: Fit For a King with Invent Animate, ten56. and Acres at Manchester Music Hall in Lexington, KY
After touring the entire month of May, “The Lonely God Tour” made its final pit stop in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky. Nearly two decades into their career they are at the top of their game bringing their tried and true flavor of metalcore we’ve all grown to love from them. Continuing to ride the high off their latest album; they packed Manchester Music Hall where not only attendees but even venue staff were reciting every word at their top of their lungs.

Concert Review: Governor’s Ball Day 2 Roundup 6/6/26
After a day of nonstop action at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, a common enemy of music festivals around the world began to rear its big, ugly head. Mother Nature acts as friend and foe to music festivals, with the latest example in Governor’s Ball history being the infamous Saturday of 2025. The doors didn't open until 4 o'clock because of the lighting, and many fans of the lineup ended up making it into the shortened festival absolutely soaked. The forecast called for a chan

Concert Review: TK at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX
TK from Ling Tosite Sigure had a sold-out, ground-level show at the House of Blues in Dallas. It was a very dark and intimate performance. TK is known for his song “Unravel,” which is the opening theme of Tokyo Ghoul, an anime that came out in 2014. He is the guitarist and singer in his band. He sings beautifully and can shred on the guitar, delivering electrifying solos in his music. His band includes a bass guitarist, a keyboard player, and a drummer, all of whom bring high

Concert Review: Sofia Isella Turns Glasgow's O2 Academy into Her Own Personal Storm
There are artists who perform songs, and then there are artists who completely consume a stage. Sofia Isella falls firmly into the latter category.
Bringing her Her Desire, The Nemesis tour to a sold-out O2 Academy Glasgow on 3 June, the American singer-songwriter delivered a set that felt less like a conventional gig and more like a controlled collision between music, theatre, and pure adrenaline.

Concert Review: Triumph and April Wine at Darien Lake Amphitheater in Darien Center, NY
It’s always fun, in rock journalism, to make and debate lists when discussing genres of music. You know: 50 greatest guitarists, Top 500 albums of all time, Big 4 of thrash metal, stuff like that. If there was a “Big 3” of Canadian hard rock – and I’m not talking the later 80s wave all-out heavy metal like Anvil, Exciter and Razor, but old-school, vintage hard rock – you’d almost certainly have to put Rush as #1 - they were the biggest, longest-lasting, and sold the most al

Concert Review: David Lee Roth at Hampton Beach Casino
I love classic rock, especially Van Halen, so I was excited to go to David Lee Roth’s show at the historic Hampton Beach Casino. David Lee Roth, known as “Diamond Dave,” is celebrated for his wild and energetic stage personality.
The setlist was filled with well-loved classic Van Halen songs, from the opening “Panama” to the fan favorite “Jump.” The crowd was full of longtime fans and newer rock enthusiasts, and they knew every verse, singing along to nearly every song.

Concert Review: Brooklyn Steel Was Rocked by the Asteroid That is CMAT
Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, best known by her acronym, CMAT, is one of country-pop’s
rapidly rising stars. After two incredible Coachella sets the month prior, it was only fitting that
the Dunboyne, Ireland native paid one of New York’s greatest cities a visit. With a first night at
the Brooklyn Paramount and a second night at Brooklyn Steel, both shows were a sold-out
success. Rock DNA was there for both, and covered Brooklyn Steel.
