Concert Review: The Revivalists at The Summer Stage at Tree House Brewing

I was thrilled to cover this concert, knowing it would be one of the season's highlights. Words can hardly capture how incredible this sold-out show was. The Summer Stage at Tree House Brewing was the perfect venue for the Revivalists: intimate yet lively, with great lighting and sound, as well as fantastic food and drinks.

Rustic Overtones, an American rock band from Maine, opened the show, and they were excellent. They have been around since 1993, and their style has been fluid, beginning with rock and soul while incorporating elements of jazz and hip-hop.

At around 8:15 p.m., The Revivalists took the stage to enthusiastic cheers. The band was celebrating the 10th anniversary of Men Amongst Mountains, their breakthrough album. They have been described as an emotional, soulful, and high-energy band. Frontman David Shaw delivers energetic and powerful vocals, and his connection with the crowd is remarkably strong.

The Revivalists fuse roots-rock energy with New Orleans jazz-funk grooves, layering soul, folk, and pop into a genre-blurring sound built on horns, pedal steel, and powerhouse rhythms. Known for their improvisational live shows and uplifting anthems, they have sustained broad appeal through their authenticity and communal spirit.

They played fan favorites such as "Good Old Days," "All My Friends," "Soulfight," "It Was a Sin," and "Wish I Knew You," while also showcasing newer material from their latest album, Pour It Out Into the Night.

The eight-piece band consists of Ed Williams (pedal steel guitar, guitar), David Shaw (lead vocals), Zack Feinberg (guitar), Rob Ingraham (saxophone), George Gekas (bass guitar), Andrew Campanelli (drums and percussion), Michael Girardot (keyboards and trumpet), and PJ Howard (drums and percussion).

This show was exceptional, and everyone in attendance loved every minute of this unforgettable performance.
