Concert Review: Kinfolk Music & Arts Festival in Danbury, NH

On July 25, 2026, Ragged Mountain Resort in Danbury, New Hampshire, welcomed the Kinfolk Music & Arts Festival. Designed as a community-focused gathering in the mountains, the festival was about more than just music. It was a celebration of community, family, creativity, and the arts. The festival emphasized a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with interactive activities, artisan booths, arts and crafts vendors, and more.

Multiple genres blended together to create an atmosphere of joy, excitement, and relaxation, including reggae, roots, jam bands, and singer-songwriters. Speaking with Brian Mulvany, the organizer of the festival, he said:

“When I started planning Kinfolk, my goal wasn’t to book bands because of their Spotify listeners or Instagram followers. I wanted to bring together musicians who genuinely love playing with each other. I wanted to help foster a stage where friends got to be friends and collaborations happened naturally.”

“Mihali, Joe, Van, Brett, and the crew absolutely sent it. They blessed everyone by doing what they do best, feeding off each other and creating moments that will live in Kinfolk history. And it’s just year one.”

“Because of this, Saturday became much more than just a lineup. It became ten straight hours of music. If you were there, you felt it. We put the pedal to the metal and didn’t really stop. That’s Kinfolk.”

“To every artist who said yes to a first-year festival, thank you. Without your trust, these moments never happen. Every festival starts with a first year. Our goal was never to be the biggest. It was to build something authentic that earns its place one summer at a time.”

As a special guest and photographer, my opinion of the Kinfolk Music & Arts Festival is clear and succinct:

“Pleasant atmosphere, beautiful venue, perfect weather, wonderful people, and great food. This was a magical experience. A 100% success. I loved the jamming.”

The bands and artists performing included Mihali, Joe Samba, Roots of Creation, Van Gordon Martin, King Kyote, Strange Machines, Mike Jetti Trio, Nate Ramos, and Steve Rondo, with artist-at-large Brendan Clemente.

Mihali and his band delivered one of the festival’s most memorable performances. The former Twiddle lead singer was outstanding, showcasing impressive guitar skills throughout the set. Fans were in musical heaven, dancing and singing along to music that was beautiful, emotional, and exhilarating. The entire band was terrific: the horn players were exceptional, drummer Adrian Tramontano was phenomenal, and keyboardist Chris Cope and bassist Dave DeCristofaro helped shape the evening’s incredible jams.

With beautiful weather and an outstanding lineup, the Kinfolk Music & Arts Festival was a resounding success. The one-day event was phenomenal. Like many who attended, I am already looking forward to returning next summer.
