Concert Review: Yungblud, Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park in Indianapolis

Yungblud is back, and Indianapolis was there for it.  Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park in Indianapolis on July 28, 2026, was a sold-out show.  This was a reschedule date, but it was definitely worth all of the anticipation.  Good things come to those who wait.  After taking some time off and skipping a festival to take a break to focus on loved ones and for his mental health, he’s back and phenomenal as expected.   You can’t even be mad about it.  This man is a true performer and has positivity radiating from him.  You can physically feel the vibes around him and while watching him perform.  After seeing him live, it is evidently clear as crystal why he reschedules shows when he is feeling under the weather.  The amount of stamina, energy and passion that goes into his performance would be impossible for anyone to do while feeling ill.  I quite literally cannot form an English sentence descriptive enough to portray this to you here.  It wouldn’t be the same if he couldn’t give it his all, and I’m sure he knows this.  He cares about his fans and absolutely delivers a spectacular gift of sight and sound.  I can only hope he feels the vibes in reciprocity, because Indianapolis loved Yungblud.   

Before Yungblud captivated everyone, Return to Dust got Indy ready with a great set.   Return to dust is a relatively new American rock band from Los Angeles, California.  Being formed in 2022 and opening for Yungblud in 2026 should prove that they are good by itself, but you can check out their music on your streaming platform of choice to find out for sure.  Although classified as rock, I’d say they had more of a grunge/alt metal sound, and it sounded great. The dual vocals, the high energy, the headbanging…They got me.  I will definitely be giving the full discography a listen. The performance was full of movement and I was entertained.  

About fifteen after nine, Yungblud was BACK, immediately in our faces jumping and emitting a powerful force of energy causing an absolute roaring of screams as he got right into opening the set with “Hello Heaven, Hello.”  It was the perfect song to start the set with.  All the action had him getting hot, and he grabbed his water and gave himself a heavy soaking, whipping his drenched hair back, sending particles of water flying.  It made for a lovely sight, and an awesome photograph.  You will have to decide whether he was using the water to cool himself off, or to make himself even hotter for his fans.  

With all the rhythmic movements during and between songs like “My Only Angel,” “Ghosts,” “Lowlife,” “War,” and “Fleabag” he had us wondering if he had taken us straight up to Heaven.  His flirty gyrating and hip thrusts surely had Elvis jealous from the afterlife.  In between all the dancing and constant seduction, he puckered up to blow kisses and cause every heart in the pit to completely melt into a puddle.  With the eyeliner, the smirk, the wink, it was hard to stay calm around all that charisma.  

As if it couldn’t get any hotter, there were plenty of bursts of fire and fog, which contributed to an even more steamy atmosphere.  The moment the fire blasted on stage, the intensity of all the built-up tension rose higher with each burst of flame.  It was a sexy, hot experience.  Indianapolis was wrapped around Dom’s little finger.  His persuasive and sexy behavior had total control over the crowd.  His dominance makes for an addicting experience.  The proof of his power; he asked to see some boobs, and he got exactly what he asked for.  

Through all of this, the screen on stage continuously played astonishing visuals.  It really brought the show to life and made the emotions run deeper.  Dom took a moment to dedicate his cover of “Changes” to Ozzy.  He delivered a short heartfelt message to Ozzy, “Wherever he may be.”  The birds on the screen during the performance of “Changes” was the perfect touch.  Their friendship was special and Ozzy meant so much to so many people.  I’m really glad he performed this cover.  Dom’s gratitude expressed to Ozzy was emotional and sincere. 

Yungblud has the capability of being a thrilling, playfully chaotic creature of fun, while also possessing one of the kindest hearts in the music industry. He’s very self-aware but also notices others.  He always shows his gratitude.  He said to us that he’s doing good.  I really hope this to be true.  Those who suffer the battle of what goes on in one’s own mind are often the ones spreading the most joy and warmth onto others.  Dom is a beautiful soul.  We do not deserve him, but he gives his whole self to us anyway.  I hope he knows what his music does for so many.  Just like Ozzy, he’s an IDOL.  

Most concerts have a degree of connection, but Yungblud really had a depth beyond the normal.  It was a fully immersive experience.  Not only was the show incredibly visually pleasing, the whole thing was felt deep to the core, inducing flood after flood of feelings.  Dom definitely had us feeling some type of way.  It was both equal parts relaxing and exhausting, in the best way possible, of course.  

Like all things, the show did have to end.  For his last act, Yungblud wouldn’t be Yungblud if he didn’t first tantalize and tease the girlies lined up at the fence before disappearing into his tour bus.  The screams were piercing and the memories will be lasting.
