Concert Review: Dogs in a Pile with Miles Connor at Basement East in Nashville, TN
There are shows you go to, and then there are shows that feel like they mean something before a single note even lands. That was the energy walking into The Basement East for Dogs in a Pile. The room was already buzzing, not just for the music, but for a purpose bigger than the stage.
The Rae of Light Foundation was set up inside, doing more than just showing face. They were connecting, educating, and putting real action behind their mission.

Concert Review: The ‘Thrash of the Titans Tour’ – Testament, Overkill and Destruction at the Palladium, Worcester, M.A.
This resounding triple-bill of old-school thrash metal has been ripping it up back and
forth across the United States in March/April 2026 – the ‘Thrash of the Titans’ tour (a
variation on the early 90s ‘Clash of the Titans’ tour title which featured Slayer, Anthrax
and Megadeth) – which has been ranging from Portland, OR in the Northwest in early
March, across the Midwest to the East Coast, and will be heading back westward to finish up in L.A. and San Francisco in mid-Ap

Gogol Bordello brought their signature high-energy chaos to Boston’s Royale on March
25, 2026, transforming the packed room into an electrifying, dance-filled frenzy. The
night started with lively performances from Puzzled Panther (see below) and Boris and
the Joy, both of which set the mood with eclectic, globally inspired sounds before joining
the headliners later in the show.

Concert Review: Senses, People R Ugly, Good Boy Daisy, The Summer Set at the House of Blues Chicago
There is a specific kind of magic in the "routine" of the House of Blues Chicago. The familiar weight of the media pass, the nods of recognition from the security staff, and the dimly lit nostalgia of those art covered walls. But this past Saturday night, the air felt different.
Just twenty-four hours prior, I had been laid off from my full-time job.

Concert Review: Nine Days and Better Than Ezra at The Ridgefield Playhouse
Nine Days and Better Than Ezra brought a wave of ‘90s nostalgia to The Ridgefield Playhouse, delivering a night that felt both timeless and refreshingly alive.
Opening the evening, Nine Days took the stage with an intimate, stripped-down set that leaned into their signature storytelling. Best known for their hit “Absolutely (Story of a Girl),” the band reminded the audience why their music still resonates decades later. Their performance was beautiful, blending fan favorit

Concert Review: Whitney with Prewn at the Lodge Room, Los Angeles, CA
Chicago indie-rock duo Whitney, led by Julien Ehrlich (drums, vocals) and Max Kakacek (guitar), returned to Los Angeles on the heels of their fourth studio album, Small Talk, self-produced and released November 7, 2025. The band played back-to-back sold-out nights at the Lodge Room, bringing their distinctly restrained, nostalgia-soaked sound into a room that felt built for it.

Concert Review: Midwest Emo Magic; Saturdays at Your Place, Live in Buffalo New York
There are certain shows where I expect production to enhance the music and create an atmosphere that defines the show and the artists. Then there are shows where you don’t need that; what you need is raw energy from the band and the crowd. And that is exactly what Saturdays at Your Place brought to Buffalo, New York on March 19th, 2026.

Concert Review: Silence Never Sounded This Loud: The Currents x ERRA Tour at Town Ballroom, Buffalo, NY
"The Silence Follows" tour featuring ERRA and Currents is the must-see metalcore tour this year! Each band delivered a punch that electrified the crowd while exploring various styles within hardcore and metalcore.
The opening band “Aviana” hails from Sweden, and they blew my mind. I had never heard of them, and I am the kind of person who wants to get to shows early to watch the openers, even when I don’t know them. I also believe that the best way to experience new music

Concert Review: Astronoid Commands the Stage at the Orpheum in Tampa, Florida
Inside the four walls of the Orpheum in Tampa, Florida, the stage is set. Fans trickle in from the long line snaking around the building outside. Once located in historic Ybor City, the Orpheum has been enjoying its new location since 2020, welcoming an array of amazing bands and artists. Though many came to see the amazing band Eidola on their Eviscerate/Mend Tour, I can assure you that many left with a new band and new music to explore after Astronoid wowed the crowd with t
