From circle pits and synchronized headbanging to crowd chants echoing throughout the venue, the energy never let up.

ewis Capaldi had the honour of closing BST Hyde Park 2026, with not just one but two incredible headline sets on the final two nights of the festival. Playing back-to-back nights on the Great Oak Stage, Capaldi stood in the footprints of many greats before him. From a cursory perspective, the actions that Greg Mendez takes while performing on stage may be misconstrued as nonchalance. Whether it's the casual toss of the phone after appearing onstage and sitting in his chair, consistently asking the audience what time it was, or the lack of any real banter outside of an occasional thank you, it really is just Mendez, his guitar and a keyboard for about 75 minutes.

I’ve seen a lot of incredible vocalists over the years, but after seeing Spiritbox and Evanescence together, I’m still thinking about just how unreal the night was. Spiritbox came out ready to go from the first song. Courtney LaPlante somehow makes the impossible look effortless, switching from beautiful melodies to brutal screams. The entire band is full of pure talent and the energy coming off the stage kept building with every song.

The Summer School Tour ’26 brought together six of the most exciting names in the pop-punk scene for a night built around community, loud guitars, and nonstop energy. Featuring Pretty Pity, Chase Petra, South Arcade, Games We Play, Winona Fighter, and Honey Revenge, the lineup proved that pop-punk is alive and well.
