Film Review: Puscifer's Concert Film Normal Isn’t: Live at the Pacific Stock Exchange
Puscifer released their concert film Normal Isn’t: Live at the Pacific Stock Exchange on February 9th, 2026. Before its release for at home purchase and viewing, select brick and mortar vinyl shops offered free screening parties. To my surprise, the town that I work in was hosting a screening party.

Concert Review: Gowan- Up North and On the Rocks
How can I get enough?
Yes, I have once again traversed up to the great white north for a double close encounter of the Gowan kind. When the Strange Animal comes around, I’ve got to follow! To say these shows were “unexpected” would only be scratching the surface of how surprised I was to hear that this king of the airwaves intended to come back to Ottawa after only 9 months of absence. Gowan (along with myself and several of my friends) recently spent a few warm January night

Concert Review: Ash at Scala, London, UK
Six months on from the start of the Ad Astra tour, Northern Irish rockers Ash returned to London’s Scala having once again sold out the King’s Cross venue. At a mere 34 years young, Ash’s line up of Tim Wheeler (vocals and guitar), Mark Hamilton (bass) and Rick McMurray (drums) remain the same as day one, but the act that follows is not just resting on their early career, but an indie rock tour de force through a career that has never lulled.

Album Review: Strike the Match and Set It Ablaze: Story of The Year Light It Up on A.R.S.O.N
Although it's 2026, it seems like 2006 with new releases from Goldfinger, New Found Glory, The Ataris, and Story of the Year. Story of the Year will be launching their 8th studio album, "A.R.S.O.N.," on February 13th, 2025, featuring some of their heaviest work to date.

Concert Review: Pink Talking Fish with Leon Trout at Off the Rails in Worcester, MA
Although it was a freezing night with the temperature dropping to 8o Fahrenheit. On February 7, 2026, in Worcester, MA, I attended the Pink Talking Fish performance at Off the Rails Music Venue. It was cold but it was a terrific, heated night of music. The sold-out event was just incredible. Seeing people singing, dancing and acting crazy during the entire performance, made it easy to recognize that they were prepared for that night of electric, high-energy performances that

Concert ReviewDaffo w/ Earth 2 Tiffany, Aggie Miller at Elsewhere Zone One, Brooklyn, NY
There were quite a few barriers that concertgoers had to cross on the night of February 7th. If it wasn’t the lack of service at the nearby Jefferson Stop on the L train, it was traversing the below freezing temperatures. If it wasn’t the bitter cold, it was navigating the ice and snow still on the ground from the winter storm two weeks prior. However, even with all of these obstacles, Zone One was as packed as ever for Daffo’s New York headlining show.

Interview: James Clark of The James Clark Institute Chats About New Single, "Reluctantly in Love" Out Friday February 13, 2026
What inspired the creation of this single?
It's me poking fun at myself. Seemingly, I'm not very good with commitment or so I've been told several times in the past. I'm not saying it's true but I currently live all alone.

Interview: Mia McIntosh Chats About Her Upcoming Single, "Are You Sorry", Out 2/13/2026
What inspired the creation of this single?
"Are You Sorry" was inspired by stories I heard from people about bad relationships they had been in. It made me think about how they were feeling and what a song from their point of view would sound like. I like writing from other people's point of view because I love storytelling and I've been writing stories since I was little.

Album Review: Puscifer Release Normal Isn't
Puscifer released their fifth album, Normal Isn’t on February 6th, 2026. Not only are we getting a new album, we’ve got a video for “Bad Wolf” and the film Normal Isn’t: Live at the Pacific Stock Exchange (available February 9th, 2026). Frontman and vocalist Maynard James Keenan (Tool and A Perfect Circle) with Carina Round (vocals) and bandmates Mat Mitchell (guitars and production), Gunner Olsen (drums), and Josh Moreau (bass) have really created something stunning with t

Interview: Denise Marsa Chats About New Music Video for "Hole" (Until Dawn Remix)
What inspired the concept for the music video?
I wanted to bring light to the song, as it is a pretty heavy topic and I thought what better place than a music store. Music is healing for so many and I wanted to feature an environment that was supportive and warm. Of course, my neighborhood music store was the perfect spot and when I asked Jeff Slatnick if we could film the music video there, he said yes, without a pause.

Concert Review: If the World Was Spinning, it's Not Anymore: Meg Smith Delivers a Show-stopping Performance in Tampa, FL.
It's an unusually cold evening as the sun shines on the historic cobblestone streets of Ybor City here in Tampa, Florida. Though only a Monday night, the air is filled with an undeniable excitement at Crowbar, located at the corner of East 8th and North 17th. Inside this popular music sanctuary, adoring fans in halos and angel wings are scattered around the room, patiently waiting to be blessed with killer vocals, catchy lyrics, and the unmistakable energy of Meg Smith,

Interview: Get to Know Penny Rebels
What first got you into music?
JB - My parents record collection, and long drives with my folks listening to cassettes.
EWC - My earliest memory was finding my dad's vinyl collection, and it was a record by The Shadows. I remember the cover had a Vox amp with some Fender Stratocasters leaning up against it. I think it had a song called Apache on it…

Interview: Michael Bianchi of Consequence of Energy Chats About Their New Album "We Are One" Released on Friday January 30, 2026.
What inspired the theme or concept behind this album?
What’s interesting is that the album wasn’t fully understood while we were making it. We didn’t start with a rigid concept. The meaning revealed itself after the process. Only toward the end did we realize the record was about division—internal and external, personal and collective—but also about the duality of life’s contrasts: light and shadow, strength and fragility, instinct and consciousness.

Concert Review: Magic City Hippies at Paradise Rock Club
I had photographed Magic City Hippies before and I was very excited to photograph them again and write a review on the Saturday night show at Paradise Rock Club. Despite the large amount of snow and the cold weather, I knew this show would be fantastic. Knowing that, I was able to brave the elements. It was a freezing cold night. The temperature dropped to 7 degrees Fahrenheit. To my surprise, I was not the only crazy music fan to show up at the venue. It was much closer to b

Music Review: Motionless in White Release “Afraid Of The Dark”
On January 28, 2026, Pennsylvania based group Motionless In White released a blistering new single, their first new song in 4 years, from their yet to be announced 8th studio album. Staples in the metalcore scene for the last 20 years, Motionless pays tribute to the struggles and the joys their tenured career has given them and “Afraid Of The Dark” is a good start. In a recent statement, frontman Chris Motionless said the song is “about taking control of your destiny and writ

Concert Review: GHOST at Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT
On January 28, 2026, Swedish heavy-meets-pop-meets-Satan rockers Ghost brought the ‘Skeletour’ to the Mohegan Sun Arena on an icy winter night. The Swedes are doing something different for this tour – no cellphones allowed, attendees were required to stow away cell phones in venue-provided Yondr pouches, with the aim of enhancing the live experience and engaging the crowd. I really liked the “NO” cellphone policy, heck when I started going to concerts in the 80’s we didn’t
