Concert Review: Triumph and April Wine at Darien Lake Amphitheater in Darien Center, NY
It’s always fun, in rock journalism, to make and debate lists when discussing genres of music. You know: 50 greatest guitarists, Top 500 albums of all time, Big 4 of thrash metal, stuff like that. If there was a “Big 3” of Canadian hard rock – and I’m not talking the later 80s wave all-out heavy metal like Anvil, Exciter and Razor, but old-school, vintage hard rock – you’d almost certainly have to put Rush as #1 - they were the biggest, longest-lasting, and sold the most al

Concert Review: David Lee Roth at Hampton Beach Casino
I love classic rock, especially Van Halen, so I was excited to go to David Lee Roth’s show at the historic Hampton Beach Casino. David Lee Roth, known as “Diamond Dave,” is celebrated for his wild and energetic stage personality.
The setlist was filled with well-loved classic Van Halen songs, from the opening “Panama” to the fan favorite “Jump.” The crowd was full of longtime fans and newer rock enthusiasts, and they knew every verse, singing along to nearly every song.

Concert Review: They Might Be Giants at Brooklyn Steel, NY
Living in New York presents a plethora of options for spending your night out, As the opportunities and spaces easily, your disposal are near limitless. However, with the boundless options at hand, it can feel close to impossible to decipher exactly what you want to do especially when the fear of missing out on something exciting or provoking enters your periphery. Thankfully, Brooklyn’s own They Might Be Giants are well aware of this conundrum and have presented just the sol

Concert Review: The Machine- A Tribute to Pink Floyd at Infinity Music Hall in Hartford, CT
I listened to several tribute bands interpreting Pink Floyd’s music. Being part of the audience at Infinity Music Hall in Harford, CT, May 28 2026. The Machine is one of the best groups featuring the iconic songs, atmospheric soundscapes, and musical arrangements that made Pink Floyd one of rock music’s most influential bands.

Concert Review: Juice Delivers a Night of Electrifying Music to Tampa, Florida
It's Sunday on this Memorial Day weekend, and the streets of Ybor City, in Tampa, Florida, are absolutely buzzing. Here inside Crowbar is no different, as the talented band Juice is set to take the stage. This evening marks the final stop of their spring tour, celebrating music from their past discography along with new songs from their upcoming album, Fire in the Desert, set for release on July 24, 2026. Concert Review: Brooklyn Steel Was Rocked by the Asteroid That is CMAT
Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, best known by her acronym, CMAT, is one of country-pop’s
rapidly rising stars. After two incredible Coachella sets the month prior, it was only fitting that
the Dunboyne, Ireland native paid one of New York’s greatest cities a visit. With a first night at
the Brooklyn Paramount and a second night at Brooklyn Steel, both shows were a sold-out
success. Rock DNA was there for both, and covered Brooklyn Steel.

Music Review: Shinedown Release Eighth Studio Album "EI8HT"
After a year and half in the making, rock radio juggernauts Shinedown released their eighth studio album (Atlantic Records), on May 29th, 2026. Appropriately titled EI8HT, the offering comes 4 years after the 2022 release of Attention Attention and boasts a whopping 18 song track list that has already spawned 7 singles, including “Young Again”, which was simultaneously released with the album.

Concert Review: A Night of Energy, Nostalgia, and Connection: Black Veil Brides with From Ashes to New, TX2 and As December Falls in Minneapolis
Black Veil Brides returned to Minneapolis, Minnesota on their North American tour, joined by As December Falls, TX2, and From Ashes to New at The Fillmore. It was a stacked lineup filled with incredible performances, energy, and a strong sense of community. For a Thursday evening, it certainly didn’t feel like one. The crowd showed up early and maintained that energy from start to finish.

Concert Review: Lorna Shore with Signs of the Swarm and Paleface Swiss at Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem, PA
Lorna Shore body slammed their way into the Wind Creek Event center along with other heavy hitters, Paleface Swiss and Signs of the Swarm. This is the heaviest show that I have attended in a really long time. For over 3 hours crowd surfers streamed from the back of the venue to the pit.

Concert Review: Night Ranger; Motoring Back to Bethlehem
Night Ranger wants you to know right off the bat that any given one of their shows is a party. In case one does not know this, they send the message across before even taking the stage by dimming the house lights and letting the Beastie Boys song “Fight For Your Right” overtake the crowd first. When the anticipation is at its peak, and when the band finally comes into sight amidst the smoke machines, they lay down the law pretty quickly by exploding into their classic anthem

Concert Review: Tom Keifer Band with Buckcherry, Springfield Symphony Hall, Springfield, MA
Tom Keifer (Cinderella) and Buckcherry rolled into Springfield Symphony Hall on Saturday, May
23, 2026. Fans packed the historic hall, wearing vintage Cinderella concert shirts and metal
regalia, minus the big hair. They carried decades of memories, ready to relive the soundtrack of
1980s and 1990s radio and MTV. The elaborate Symphony Hall, with its vaulted ceilings and
classic theater atmosphere, was the perfect setting for a night of loud guitars, raspy vocals, and

Concert Review: Super Furry Animals at O2 Brixton Academy, London
After ten years away, the Super Furry Animals are back! The hugely important band who formed in the 1990’s, taking us on a sonic journey through their genre-bending career, aren’t just important to the indie scene of the time, but the musical culture of Wales itself. Eccentric, hook-laden, and unapologetically political – the band have been a cornerstone of the British experimental music scene. In the O2 Brixton Academy this evening, the lights were low and the fog thick.

Music Review: Tearing Down the Masquerade Set to Release Their First Full Album, Live From Kyle’s Basement, May 30, 2026
Fort Wayne has a secret, and I’m here to serve the tea! The Fort Wayne, IN music scene contains a little band called Tearing Down The Masquerade, who are so underrated. I’m here to share the news, because they pack a sound and show deserving of stadiums. If you have already heard of them, prepare to have your mind blown. Interview: Siobhan Bodrug About Their New Single "Monster"
What inspired the creation of this single?
"Monster" was written in one of our most prolific eras, when we were writing almost every day. I had just gotten out of an extremely toxic relationship and was having difficulty processing everything that had happened. I was angry and frustrated with myself for the way I had handled the situation. And I was super angry about how I had been treated. I kept asking the question “why did I let this happen?”

SatchVai "Surfing with the Hydra 2026 Spring US Tour" from the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY, on May 21st. A large crowd attended the beautiful Palace Theatre. The venue is perfect for an act like this, featuring a big stage, tall ceiling and an acoustically great sounding hall. I think it's great that they decided to form a band; this setup gives fans the best of what they both offer.

Concert Review: A Decade in the Making: The Cab Kicks Off Their Headlining Tour in Dallas
The Cab officially kicked off their first headlining tour in over a decade at The Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas on May 22, 2026.
Starting off the night was the band Jady. Their dynamic blend of alt-rock got the crowd moving. Frontman Jarrett Doherty captivated the crowd with his high energy and fan involvement, keeping the crowd on their toes with excitement. Rounding out this high-energy set is the punchy drum stylings of Ashton Bergdorf, whose driving pace was on fu

Who let the dogs out?! Because the Hounds of the Underground Tour with If Not For Me, Windwaker, and Colorblind came through to St. Paul, Minnesota on 5/16/2026. I
can’t think of a better name for this tour, because each of these bands have been
making themselves known, and are more of the… lets say, underDOG’S, in the scene right now? Get it? Okay, no more dog puns, I had to.

Music Review: Marmozets Release CO.WAR.DICE
After bursting onto the rock scene in 2014 with their debut album “The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets” followed by their acclaimed sophomore project, “Knowing What You Know Now”, the Marmozets all but vanished from the music world. Eight years later, after COVID, finding regular jobs, marriage, and becoming parents, the Bingley based alt-rock group is set to unleash their long awaited new album, “Co.War.Dice”, on May 22, 2026.

The Royale, a nightclub on Tremont Street in Boston, MA, welcomed Oteil & Friends—headed by Oteil Burbridge—on May 17, 2026.
