What inspired the creation of this single?
It was a moment of weakness but also of clarity.
What story or message does the song convey?
Feeling so drawn, so attracted and so full about the person that is most hurting you, and you know it, your rationales are in the right place, but you just can't stay away from.
Can you tell us about the creative process?
I remember myself walking under the rain when the main melody came to my head, with the lyrics almost in the way they ended up being. I was humming and singing on a voice note walking up Gloucester Rd.
How does this song differ from your previous releases?
This EP we definitely wanted to sound to our best potential. We recorded at J&J Studio with Jim Barr, longtime studio and live bassist of Portishead. He brought our sound to a new level.
What challenges did you face while writing or recording?
We really wanted a good and bold production but without losing the rawness that the song had from the first day. It is a song that came from self-anger, and we wanted that to be present in the final recording.
Did you experiment with any new instruments, techniques, or styles?
I never considered myself a guitarist, that's why I need Od. I'm a songwriter that can play guitar, but I think I pushed myself for this release.
Is there a personal connection or story tied to the lyrics?
This song and some of the songs written during that time were the difficult begging I had with my partner. I know. A classic.
Have you performed it live yet, and what was the audience’s reaction?
This is always the song we play to end our sets because is the one that gets the best reaction from the audience.
Is this single part of a larger project, like an album or EP?
Is part of a self-titled EP that comes with the song Changes. That's a song significantly different that resemble late 90's band's sounds like Jawbox or At the Drive-in.
