The evening started with Benjamin Carter, who brought an intimate, stripped-back energy to the stage. His performance was filled with vulnerability, as his soulful vocals and honest lyrics set a mood that captivated the audience. Though unfamiliar with his music prior to the show, I found myself completely absorbed in his set and grateful that I get to say I saw him on his first tour! Keep an eye on this rising star—his journey is just beginning.

In a move surprising their fans, Falling In Reverse dropped their first new single (and a video to go along with it) since concluding the Popular Monster cycle. “God Is A Weapon” is a moody, cinematic piece whose beginning is reminiscent of Marilyn Manson’s cover of the Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)”.

The Canadian indie- rock band Arcade Fire dropped their 7th studio album on May 9th, 2025. This collection of music is titled, Pink Elephant, and follows up their last album, We from 2022.  This band's sound has always been on the softer side of rock, but following their 2022 album, Pink Elephant is comprised of 10 songs, three of which are instrumental only! Tracks 1, 6 and 9 respectively. 

Neither Halsey nor Amy Lee of Evanescence are strangers to having tracks involved with films, but the converging of the two wasn’t something that most people would have thought of. Amy Lee’s haunting vocals feel like they lend themselves to something darker, and more ethereal, while Halsey has never failed to bring us a healthy serving of emotionally charged pop. Pairing the two of them is something that almost feels like it shouldn’t work, but it most certainly does.

On May 9th, 2025 the Ohio based metalcore/electronicore group Attack Attack! surprised fans with not just one, but 2 high octane tracks, including their first ever feature from a prominent voice in the deathcore scene. The 11 track offering “Attack Attack! II” featuring the new singles  “Dance!” and “Chainless” is set for release on August 8th via Oxide Records.

I just got done checking out "Long Way Back" by Sam Varga. It reminded me why I love new music and new artists so much. Hearing a song and then wanting to know more about them. What their influences are, just learning the road traveled. 

On March 14th, powerhouse vocalist Dorothy (Dorothy Martin) released her fourth album titled The Way. The album was produced by Grammy nominated producer Scott Stevens. The album as a whole is a baptism says Dorothy, she wrote this album as a love letter to her fans. The singles from this album were some of her best since “Rest In Peace”.

I just checked out “The Daylight Between Us” by FOXHAUNT, and wow—this was my first time hearing them, and I’m already hooked. Right away, I noticed some serious Silverstein and Linkin Park vibes, but there’s also this raw, slightly chaotic edge that gave me a hint of A Static Lullaby. It’s melodic and emotional without losing that post-hardcore punch.
