It was a hot summer afternoon in San Antonio when I arrived at The Rock Box in the city's historic district to see the powerhouse hard rock trio, Plush. Formed in 2020, the band has previously toured with metal stars like The Warning and Disturbed, but tonight they were the headliners, midway through their fall 2026 North American tour promoting their second studio album, Mass Hysteria (releasing 9/18/26).

There was something wonderfully casual about Rex Orange County at All Points East. Not careless or underprepared, actually quite the opposite, with Alex O’Connor joined by a full band and a brass section - but relaxed enough that it never felt like he was trying to prove he belonged on a stage this size.

On August 28, 2026, I went to photograph Taz, a 23-year-old guitarist performing at The Sinclair, located in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge. I was so excited because I knew the performance would be amazing. I met Brandon Niederauer (AKA Taz) last year during a live music show at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts, and I immediately fell in love with his music.

On August 22, 2026, more than 13,000 fans packed the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts, to see classic rock mainstays Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner reunite for the Double Trouble Double Vision Tour. The show was exceptional. Six Gun Sally opened the night. Promoting their singles, Sittin' Pretty and Easy Love, and their latest album, Stand Up, the group delivered a terrific performance.

311, a band that has been together for 36 years as of a couple of months ago, graced the stage at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving on a hot summer day. Their stage presence and energy are unmatched, as they know how to get a crowd moving and dancing along throughout their performance. They opened with songs like "Beautiful Disaster," "Come Original," and "All Mixed Up" as their first three songs.

Rockstar Energy Open has now wrapped up its third year at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland, Oregon. The event was reminiscent of events in the early 2000s such as the Vans Warped Tour, when skating contests happened alongside live punk bands that were popular at the time. There was definitely something nostalgic about this event, as skating and punk have seemed to evolve in separate directions over the last 20 years. It was fun to see both together in full swing again.

Every once in a while, you walk into a concert, look at the lineup, and say to yourself, "A few years from now, someone is going to see that lineup and be like, 'Wow, all those bands played together.'" It didn't cost a month's income to see them, and it wasn't on some huge festival grounds.
