April 4th, 2026 may have been a regular Saturday to some. But to many others who were present at Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver, BC it was a Saturday to never forget. I have been to many shows here and something I can say with confidence, is that metal shows hit differently here. The crowd’s energy, especially for lineups like tonight’s… It’s always on a different level. 

On April 9, 2026, several hundred fans gathered to welcome Lotus, the instrumental electronic jam band formed in Goshen, Indiana, in 1998 and now based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Denver, Colorado. The performance marked the first of two nights at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts, as the band continues to promote their latest album, Rise of the Anglerfish, released on February 13, 2026.

Canadian singer Powfu performed at The Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas, Texas on his Lo-Fi Library Tour. Best known for his song Death Bed (Coffee for Your Head), which blew up in 2020, Powfu started his music career simply by rapping over lo-fi beats. Before that, he spent a lot of time writing poetry, which ultimately inspired him to take the leap into making music.

Puscifer brought their Normal Isn't Tour to the Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem, PA. In the true spirit of a Maynard James Keen event, they had an eclectic opener in musician/comedian Dave Hill. Another tell that Maynard was in the building were the signs at the entrances saying that no cameras were allowed and that cell phones must be away during their performance.

Great night of music! Great performances! This is how I would describe Ghosts of Jupiter featuring Nate Wilson of Moe at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, Massachusetts, on April 2, 2026. The show started at 8:00 p.m. with two special guests. The Whole Loaf is the closest thing you’ll get to an all-in-one modern sixties band.

Ashnikko brought her Smoochies Tour to the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota, transforming the historic venue into a vibrant, candy-colored world built on confidence, charisma, and community. With opening support from Princess Nokia, the night was full of bold outfits, charisma, and playful chaotic energy.

On Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Massachusetts, lespecial delivered an unforgettable performance along with Mihali. The night featured a special Nirvana set followed by a tribute to The Offspring. The sold-out show was nothing short of incredible—easily one of the best rock and roll performances I’ve ever experienced. Aly and AJ brought their Places to Run Tour with support by Hayden Blount to Archer Music Hall in Allentown, PA. It was one of the first nice days in the Lehigh Valley after a really long and cold winter. Downtown was bustling with concert goers between this show and Hardy a few blocks away the city felt alive.

Soundcheck Studios located on Boston’s South Shore is a wonderful live music venue, with great atmosphere, lights and sound and with some great up and coming bands and these two were great!!!! As part of their New England Tour, One Time Weekend stopped at Soundcheck Studios, in Pembroke, MA, on March 27, 2026, for one set live performance with the indie rock band Knot Art as the opener. Several hundreds of fans attended the concert. It was a terrific night of music.
