Some gigs are all about spectacle. Towering stage productions, blinding lights and walls of amplifiers. Others strip everything back and remind you that great songs don't need any of that. Lzzy and Joe's opening night of their UK unplugged tour at Glasgow's Garage was exactly that – an intimate evening built on incredible musicianship, storytelling and the unmistakable connection they've built with their fans over the years.

This festival was chaotic in the best way possible. Everyone was so eager to see the set times unveil at 11. So many people lined up to see if the band on their shirt was playing today. The scramble of last-minute planning what stage you’ll be at when brought us back to the carelessness we had as kids.

There is something special about seeing a band on the rise in a venue like King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, and this show Lakeview show felt exactly like that. Before the headliners took the stage, Dundee rock outfit Red Vanilla did a fantastic job of warming up the crowd. Their fantastic set quickly got people in the mood and set the tone perfectly for the night ahead. By the time they left the stage, the crowd was ready and waiting for what was to come.

Dexter and the Moonrocks played at Woolys in Des Moines, I.A. June 11th, 2026, to a sold-out house. Joined by supporting bands, High June and Fox N Vead. Together these bands blur the lines between genres like country, southern rock, grunge, and folk in a magically unique way. The show opened with High June, a high energy, five-piece band from Eastern Carolina. The type of energy they bring to the stage you'd be hard pressed to believe they're an opener.

Friday night in Irving had that buzz you only get when a crowd shows up early and stays loud. The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory filled in fast, and by the time the lights dropped you could tell this was a young, all-in crowd that came to scream every word.

A terrific night of music – an exceptional show…is how I would describe They Might Be Giants performance at the House of Blues in Boston. The sold-out show was phenomenal. For me, a good live performance is when the band knows their audience and plays to their audience and not for themselves. They Might Be Giants were exactly the model of band that I adore to see on stage. The connection between the band and their devoted fans was visible.
