On October 1, 2026, as a live music photographer, I attended Sonia Live Music Venue, located in the same building as The Middle East Club in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to photograph The Haunt, 8 Graves, and Platinum Moon. The show was part of The Haunt's 2026 Ghost Tour.

Platinum Moon opened the show and was met with great enthusiasm from the audience. An American rock band based in Katonah, New York, the group was formed in 2018 and consists of brothers Anton Grossman (guitar and violin) and Ethan Grossman (drums), along with Joseph Klettner (keyboards and guitar), Toby Dorfman (bass), and Ava Anduze (lead vocals). The band's sound blends elements of rock, heavy metal, pop rock, and pop-punk.

When discussing the band's musical style, lead singer Ava Anduze explained that Platinum Moon draws inspiration from classic rock artists such as Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles. She describes the band's sound as "modern rock influenced by classic rock, with a little bit of alternative and blues influences."

8 Graves followed with a high-energy introduction, encouraging the audience to make some noise and test the room's energy. Fans responded by cheering, clapping, dancing, and jumping, creating a continuous exchange of energy between the stage and the crowd.

An alternative rock act from New York City, 8 Graves consists of vocalist Brent Carpentier, guitarist and pianist Nick Goncalves, and drummer Gary Foster. Their music blends alternative rock and future grunge with elements of post-hardcore and EDM. Known for honest, dark lyrics that often explore heartbreak and personal struggles, the band has connected with listeners through emotionally driven storytelling. Their first major breakthrough came with the 2018 single "Hang," followed by the successful releases of "Smile" and "SOS."

After a short break, The Haunt took the stage. They opened with "Bad Omen" and continued with a set featuring fan favorites including "Morally Incompetent," "I'm Not Yours," "Overdose," "Little Like Hell," "Nervous Wreck," and more.

The Haunt is fronted by sibling duo Anastasia Grace Haunt (lead vocals) and Maxamillion "Max" Haunt (vocals, guitar, and production). The pair have been making music together since childhood and formed their first band in 2015. Following the success of their album New Addiction, they have continued to build a loyal fanbase and are currently touring in support of their sophomore album, Ghost, which is scheduled for release on October 30, 2026.

Playing venues across the United States, including Boston, Asbury Park, Cleveland, Denver, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, The Haunt's 2026 Ghost Tour has been drawing enthusiastic crowds. Their stop in Cambridge at Sonia Live Music Venue was no exception. The energy from both the band and the audience remained high throughout the evening, making for a memorable experience.

As a live music photographer, I enjoyed every moment of this extraordinary performance and left impressed by the talent and passion displayed by all three bands.
