Concert Review: NONPOINT DROP A BULLET AT GRAMERCY THEATRE in NEW YORK CITY with Autumn Kings and Upon a Burning Body
Nonpoint's concert last night was a remarkable event for dedicated fans, as Elias Soriano and the band took the stage at the Gramercy Theatre, delivering a night filled with powerful riffs and cherished memories. Part of their “Painful Statements” tour, the evening was infused with nostalgia and vibrant energy as the band commemorated two significant anniversaries: 25 years since the release of their debut album, Statements, and 20 years since their breakthrough album, To The

Concert Review: Architects North American Tour Chicago IL at Riviera Theatre with ERRA and Holywatr
Architects
Making their return to the North American Midwest, Architects packed the iconic Riviera Theatre as they steamrolled through most of their newer catalogue including their latest album “The Sky, The Earth & All Between” having the crowd buzzing from start to finish. Finally getting to hear “Curse” live was a real treat as it’s my favorite song they’ve released since “a new moral low ground”. Sam’s vocals were in top form, the bands energy was infectious and the cro

Concert Review: Tedeschi Trucks Band with Whiskey Meyers at the Gorge Amphitheater, Quincy, WA
It is Saturday August 9th, and we are at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA. It has been well over a decade since I have been here but as soon as I hit the top of the hill staring down to the stage that is situated right on the walls of the Columbia River Gorge all the memories came flooding back. I know some people will debate me but for my money there is no better venue west of the Mississippi. Just absolutely breathtaking and to me it's the best way to enjoy a show.

Concert Review: Bôa at the Brooklyn Steel
The band Bôa performed at the Brooklyn Steel August 7, 2025, with shoegaze band sweet93 opening the night. Bôa is best known for their song Duvet, originally popularized by the 1998 anime Serial Experiments Lain and rediscovered in late 2021 after going viral on social media. The song’s online explosion prompted a resurgence of the band and a second 2024 album Whiplash after a nearly two decade hiatus. Boa’s story is a clear example of how the internet can rewrite the traject

Concert Review: Dark Star Orchestra in Deerfield, MA
On August 4, 2025, Dark Star Orchestra performed at Tree House Brewing Company located in Deerfield, MA. Thousands of fans attended the outside concert. It was a great night of music with pizza and beer around. Tree House Deerfield carries a wide variety of fresh beer, cold brew, and seltzer. They also have in-house-made pizzas available at the pizza counter. As a live music photographer; I drove 2 hours from Brookline to Deerfield to cover Dark Star Orchestra.

Concert Review: Suceava Blues Festival 2025 Suceava, Romania
Tucked away in the undulating hills of northeastern Romania, Suceava is a city where history feels layered – where the footsteps of Moldavian princes, Habsburg governors, and Orthodox monks still resonate in the hush of cobbled streets and timeworn fortresses. It’s here that the Suceava Blues Festival comes to life – a free-to-attend celebration that brings together world-class blues talent like Ana Popovic, Ian Siegal, and Sugar Queen Blues, alongside Romanian favourites suc

CONCERT REVIEW: KALEO AT THE LOWELL SUMMER MUSIC SERIES
On Sunday August 3, 2025, Kaleo stopped at the Lowell Summer Music Series to promote their third studio album titled MIXED EMOTIONS released on May 9 via Atlantic. The weather, the temperature, the atmosphere, the ambiance… Everything was perfect for an exciting night of music. Bringing their chairs with them, hundreds of fans sitting near to each other on the lawn at the Boarding House Park stage were amazed to be part of the outside concert.

Concert Review: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard w/ U.S. Girls at Forest Hills Stadium, Queens, NY
There are very few bands as popular and simultaneously enigmatic as Australian rock (?) group King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Throughout their 15 year career, the band has officially released 27 albums ranging from all types of genres including psychedelic, thrash metal, and synthpop to name a few, as well as miscellaneous explorations into microtonal tuning. The group has also made a name for themselves for their enthralling live sets, frequently switching up their formu

Concert Review: Jimmie Vaughan and His Tilt-A-Whirl Band at 229 with Surprise Guest Eric Clapton, London, U.K.
Anyone going into this evening thinking this was just going to be a normal Monday night in London was sorely mistaken. We knew we were in for an incredible night of music with Jimmie Vaughan and his Tilt-A-Whirl band, but we were yet to see just how legendary it would be.

Concert Review: Descendents at The Underground – Charlotte, NC
The Descendents, punk rock pioneers, were graciously greeted at The Underground by fans of all ages. When I say all ages, I mean generations worth of fans. It wasn’t uncommon to see day one fans with their kids, singing along and having a grand old time….it was a beautiful sight to see.

AJR with Madilyn Mei, Valley, Cavetown, and Goth Babe at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana
It was a cool, comfortable evening on July 31st, 2025 when AJR brought their “Somewhere in the Sky” tour to Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana. The indie pop band, comprised of brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met, came without Adam. Adam has stepped away from select shows to focus on his book and advocacy for climate, while also contributing to the TIME100 Climate list. His absence did not hinder the show whatsoever. I promise you that! AJR had four really neat bands o

The Head & The Heart w/ Wild Rivers, Marfa at Central Park Summerstage, Manhattan, NY
New York, much like other parts of the country, has been stuck in a heat wave for the better part of the last week of July. Not only that, but the weather reports have poorly accounted for the chances of rain, slamming New Yorkers when they least expect it. However, the excitement for a live performance always shines brighter than the weather, no matter what that weather may be, and this excitement couldn’t be more palpable than at The Head & The Heart’s Aperture tour at the
