MARSHFIELD, MA – (January 6, 2026) – Levitate, New England’s homegrown creative brand, announced their lineup for their 14th annual Levitate Music & Arts Festival, set to take place July 18th and 19th, 2026, at the Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield, MA.
In an increasingly scattered and disconnected time in the music festival space, Levitate has prided itself on listening to creative ideas from fans to continually shake things up, and they are ecstatic about sharing one of wildest lineups in Levitate history. The 2026 lineup is headlined by global alt-rock icon, and one of most influential women in contemporary music; Alanis Morissette. She will be joined by some exciting new names for Levitate Music Festival, including Americana-Folk superstars Caamp, acclaimed Australian indie-pop duo Royel Otis, and the electric Sammy Rae & The Friends. These new-coming names will feature alongside a stellar roster that also includes Levitate Music Festival favorites like reggae royalty Ziggy Marley, ascendant Massachusetts-based reggae rockers The Elovaters and genre-melting New Orleans fusion frontleader Trombone Shorty. Rounding out the typically eclectic Levitate Music Festival lineup further features diverse acts Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Pepper, The Movement, Larkin Poe, Daniel Donato, and many more.
In partnership with the Levitate Foundation, this year’s festival will further expand on a longrunning, and increasingly expansive, tradition of blending national touring acts with rising local talent with the second annual Levitate Foundation Songwriter’s Stage. Building on the success of 2025’s Songwriter Stage, fans and a special panel of industry experts will vote to select four unsigned and emerging artists for the opportunity to perform in front of tens of thousands of fans, and to receive a grant to fund an album produced by a notable studio professional in their genre. This unique central stage is designed to showcase the power of creativity and expression in the community and Levitate is excited to help launch four more emerging artists to the world in 2026.
Further expanding their dedication to the arts, the Levitate Foundation is also launching the Visual Artist Showcase, a larger-than-life art gallery that will debut at the Levitate Music Festival. Building off the success of the Songwriter’s Stage, the Visual Artist Showcase will feature the work of 10 artists picked by fans and a special panel, displayed in a massive 2-day gallery opening during the Festival, open to all attendees. Just as the Songwriter’s Stage has helped share the sounds of deserving musicians’ talent with the world, Levitate is excited to do the same with an exciting art gallery that will paint the Marshfield Fairgrounds with all new perspectives and colors.
Daniel Hassett, Founder of Levitate, says, “Last year’s Songwriter’s Stage was such a hit - it was amazing to see fans gather around and experience deserving emerging artists, the same artists just might become headliners one day. Even better than that, was the Levitate Foundation getting to work with these musicians and be a resource, both financially and personally, to help them reach their goals and record their next album. This year, we’re excited to bring this same concept to the visual arts, setting the stage to bring the work from little-known emerging artists to a huge “gallery opening” concept for tens of thousands. How fun does it sound to hang out at a giant gallery of emerging artists at a music festival?!”
In typical fashion, Levitate transforms the festival experience into a celebration of creativity, community, and connection with nature. Levitate offers a vibrant eco-conscious, and family-friendly atmosphere. With a vast marketplace of local artisans and a variety of the best regional New England flavors in a food truck village, there’s something for everyone. Families can dive into interactive activities at the free Kids Zone with art, music, and outdoor-inspired projects and concepts. Live art installations and hands-on experiences add a dynamic layer to the festivities, encouraging exploration and creative inspiration. Whether you’re there for the music, food, art, or the family fun, each day offers countless ways to immerse oneself and create lasting memories in a one-of-a-kind environment.
