Interview: Shower Thoughts Chat About Their Upcoming Album "Love From..." Out 10/31
What inspired the theme or concept behind this album?
When you lose the only thing you have loved for your life what do you do… you end up dead.
Were there any particular events or emotions that shaped the songwriting?
Over the course of a year our song writing was changed by many struggles with recording we endured staying late after school to record songs changing the story all to create one masterpiece.
Were there any challenges you faced during the recording process?
We had to find time to record wether it be sneaking into school recording rooms to record vocals or only being able to use garage band.
Which track was the most fun to create, and why?
The most fun track to create was probably the opening track love bug as it was at the start of the process of the album and was the first steps in the process with all the ideas running in our head it all came out to create one great track.
Did any collaborations influence the sound or direction of this project?
We did not collaborate with anyone for this album it purely came from us dedicating a year to our craft however there were many inspirations such as radio head or drug bug.
Did you experiment with any new techniques, instruments, or styles on this record?
Yes we did previously we had chat a slow calm style which is still kept in the new album but we experimented with a more rock experimental side to show the emotions of our protagonist through the album.
How do you feel this album represents your evolution as a band?
It shows the next step as a band and what’s to come next as we consistently improve on all levels.
What do you hope your fans take away from this album?
We hope they take away a version of the story hopefully close to what we wrote😂 and that they enjoy the experience.
Have fans influenced the direction of your music or this album in any way?
Of course they have told us they want dark sadder gut wrenching music and we delivered.
What can fans expect from your upcoming tour or album release events?
Well depending on the success of the album they can expect whatever they want to see they just need to ask.
Do you have any music videos planned for the album? What can you share about them?
Of course we want to mix music video with story to portray the concept side even further.
If you could describe this album in three words, what would they be?
Mistakes love grief.
Is there a specific moment during the album’s creation that you’ll always remember?
Showing new tracks to my co creator and us jumping around will be stuck in my head forever.
Do you have a tour booked or is one being booked to promote the album?
Not currently it’s up to the fans for that to happen but we’re up for it.
