What inspired the theme or concept behind this album?
30 years of life. I started writing songs back in the late 90s, but had to put those dreams away because of career, family, etc. In the past several years I've picked it back up and I'm finally recording and releasing my first album fulfilling a lifelong dream.
Were there any particular events or emotions that shaped the songwriting?
Too many to list.
Were there any challenges you faced during the recording process?
WAY too many too list lol.
Which track was the most fun to create, and why?
Most fun...Beautiful Weirdos. Most fulfilling...Songbird.
Did any collaborations influence the sound or direction of this project?
Absolutely! All of them but my producer Carter and my amazing mic engineer, Uzi. My dear friend Jason Young of The Dirty Champions played a huge part, also.
Did you experiment with any new techniques, instruments, or styles on this record?
Everything was new. I'd never even been in a studio prior to 2024.
How do you feel this album represents your evolution as a band?
This album directly reflects my evolution as a person.
What do you hope your fans take away from this album?
The knowledge that they aren't alone. I think all of the songs are highly relatable.
Have fans influenced the direction of your music or this album in any way?
Fans/ friends have been trying to get me to do this for years. So yeah, they definitely did.
What can fans expect from your upcoming tour or album release events?
Not sure yet.
Do you have any music videos planned for the album? What can you share about them?
TBD. I have more ideas than resources, atm.
If you could describe this album in three words, what would they be?
Life summed up.
Is there a specific moment during the album’s creation that you’ll always remember?
Hearing Songbird fully imagined for the first time.
Do you have a tour booked or is one being booked to promote the album?
No. I have a job...
Anything Else That You'd Like the Fans to Know.
I just hope you get half of what I want you to get from my music.
