Concert Review: Country Thunder Florida 2026 Festival

There’s something surreal about hearing thousands of people sing country songs steps away from the water as the Florida sunset spills across the skyline - and somehow, Country Thunder Florida 2026 made it feel effortless.

After a last-minute venue change shifted the festival from St. Pete Beach to Clearwater’s Coachman Park, there was plenty of uncertainty surrounding the weekend. But by the time gates opened, it became clear the move may have accidentally created an even better experience. Nestled in the heart of downtown Clearwater, the new location brought a completely different energy to the festival - one that felt more connected to the city itself. Fans flowed between the waterfront, local bars, restaurants, nearby hotels, and the festival grounds all weekend long, turning the event into more than just a concert series. It felt like a full-city takeover.

And the lineup delivered exactly what fans came for.

Country Thunder balanced modern country headliners with rising crossover artists and southern rock energy, creating a lineup that appealed to both longtime country fans and newer audiences. Kane Brown brought arena-level production and massive singalongs, while Zach Top leaned into traditional country roots with effortless charisma. Shaboozey and Dasha injected newer genre-bending energy into the weekend, while artists like Gavin Adcock and Randy Houser kept the grit and southern edge alive throughout the festival grounds.

But what really made the weekend stand out was the atmosphere.

The festival grounds were packed with vendors selling everything from handmade western apparel and custom hats to smoked barbecue, loaded fries, lemonade shake-ups, and festival staples that somehow taste better in the Florida heat. Between the live music, waterfront breeze, cowboy boots in the grass, and neon lights reflecting off the marina at night, Country Thunder Florida felt less like a traditional festival and more like a weekend-long coastal party.

More importantly, the festival brought visible energy into Clearwater. Hotels, restaurants, bars, rideshare drivers, and local businesses all felt the impact of thousands of fans pouring into the city for the weekend. Coachman Park proved itself capable of hosting a major music festival without losing the relaxed coastal atmosphere that makes Clearwater appealing in the first place.

For a festival that had every reason to feel chaotic after a sudden relocation, Country Thunder Florida 2026 ended up doing the opposite. It felt comfortable. Natural. Like it belonged there all along.
