On February 28, 2025, The Sinclair welcomed Molly Grace, the Pop Star from Lexington, Massachusetts, now based in Nashville who is promoting her tour “But I’m a Pop Star” across the East Coast.
The sold-out show started at 8:00 p.m. with Claire Ernst performing as the opener. A soulful pop artist and songwriter from New Jersey, Claire Ernest now lives in Nashville. She accumulated over 5 million streams on Spotify. Her newest project “Sophomore Slump”, released with Sea Gayle Publishing, is a fresh take on the pop/R&B scene that is coming out of Nashville with her jazz influence and conversational lyricism.
Claire was exceptional on stage. From the beginning to the end, she had a personal connection with the audience. It was easy to understand how much she enjoyed the moment.
“I love making music, but performing will always be my favorite thing on earth”, she said.
At 9:30 p.m. Molly Grace came on stage. The welcome from the audience, the electric atmosphere around the room… were just a crazy moment at the Sinclair. Known for her high-energy performances and emotional music, Grace delivered a terrific presentation in front of many hundreds of fans who came to see the artist playing live in Cambridge. She blends pop, funk, and disco influences, drawing inspiration from artists like Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
Celebrating Molly’s presence on stage, many fans wore pink color to show their love and admiration in regard of the artist.
The 23-year-old singer played several songs from her new single “F.E.M.M.E.” that has reached more than a million views on Instagram.
“I love you, Molly” said a fan from the audience. Other voices repeated the same thing. In response to them Grace said: “It was just a crazy experience to see so many people making dances to my song and making videos.” Then she continued: “And now I’m on tour and we’ve done a couple of shows, hearing crowds of hundreds of people scream the lyrics back at you, it’s just so surreal.”
Molly Grace’s performance at The Sinclair was just exceptional and I hope she comes back to Boston soon and often.
