On Friday, April 11, 2025, Infinity Music Hall in Hartford, CT, welcomed Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel.
The show started at 8:15 p.m. with Chris Berardo as the opener. An innate showman since the age 12, the acclaimed Connecticut-based singer/songwriter just released his long-awaited Americana album Wilder All the Time. Over the course of three albums, Berardo and his longtime band The DesBerardos have earned a loyal fanbase and peer respect for the sheer quality and sincerity of a their rootsy Americana rock. At the Infinity Hall in Hartford, CT, the trio have just shown, despite their age, their ability to connect with the audience.
At 9:30 p.m. Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel hit the stage. Known for their amazing improvisational ability and their spontaneous creation of music, Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel is amongst the most creative southern rock band on the contemporary scene. Performing alongside a group of talented musicians such as Jhonny Stachela (guitar, vocals), Pedro Arevalo (bass, vocals), Vincent Fossett, Jr. (drums), and Max Butler (keys), Duane delivered a dynamic live show in Connecticut.
The audience who travelled from the New England area (Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts) to the theater was lucky to be part of a unique moment filled with searing guitar solos, and a mix of classic songs with fresh energy. Fans from their sitting places were singing, repeating the lyrics of a series of songs blended with roots rock, blues, and some improvisational jamming. That music created an atmosphere that had a positive and enjoyable feeling and vibe.
With a fiery legacy forged by his father, the legendary Dicky Betts, Duane ignites and brings an evolution to the Southern rock tradition. With Palmetto Motel, at Infinity Music Hall in Hartford, CT, he performed an unforgettable night of music that anyone in the audience would ever remember.
