It's a cool clear evening here at the Conduit, at the corner of Aloma and Forsyth. Long before the doors open, fans line the sidewalk, ready and eager to claim a front-row spot for tonight's show. The Conduit, one of Orlando's most popular musical venues, has earned its reputation for providing a space for artists of all genres to showcase their amazing talents. And tonight is truly no exception, as Timecop1983—one of the leading names in the synthwave world—takes the stage on his In the Rearview Mirror tour alongside Josh Dally, with support from The Bad Dreamers and Brent Michael Wood.
From Eindhoven, Netherlands, Jordy Leenearts, professionally known as Timecop1983, has been creating synthwave music since the early 2000s. But his musical journey really began at twelve-years old, when he was gifted Scream Tracker for MS-DOS. Through determination and practice, he taught himself how to craft his own sound, and he was inspired by the 2011 film, Drive, to take the synthwave path.
With his instrumental focus--blending retro synthesizers, warm drumbeats, and the nostalgic sounds of the 80s, Jordy has solidified himself as one of the top global synthwave artists and producers. Over the course of his career, he has released six albums and numerous EPs, all amassing millions of streams on various music platforms. His most recent single, "After the Last Light," was released in February 2026. His music has been featured in films such as Legends of Tomorrow, Lucifer, and most recently the animated movie Diplodocus. He has also collaborated with many other top synthwave artists like Ollie Wride, The Midnight, The Bad Dreamer, and Josh Dally, the featured vocalist on this current tour.
Josh Dally, in his own right, is a successful singer-songwriter who has been collaborating with Timecop1983 since 2016, when they released their first collaboration, "Let's Talk." Josh gained noticeable attention for his vocal performance on the song "Running in the Night." In 2021, Josh and Timecop1983 released their first collaborative album, "Faded Touch." And most recently, their song "In The Rearview Mirror" in 2025. With their rich musical history and their powerhouse talents, Orlando is in for an unforgettable evening.
The room is packed to the brim as Brent Michael Wood is first to step onto the stage. This Nashville-based singer-songwriter starts the night off with an energizing set. With a mic and a new black Tagima acoustic guitar, he gains the attention of the room with his strong vocals and soulful country rock sound. Equipped with a looping station, he weaves together a chord progression and performs a cover of the Tears for Fears hit "Everybody Want to Rules the World" and enthralls the crowd with his single "Burn".
Next up on the evening’s stacked lineup is The Bad Dreamers, the musical project of David Schuler. No stranger to the synth-pop world, he’s welcomed to the stage with a loud cheer from the audience. Rocking out on a sunburst Fender Stratocaster, he delivers an impressive set—especially considering it was curated just ten days before the tour started after he stepped in without hesitation to fill the slot. Songs like “New York Minute,” “Who You Run To,” and “Georgetown” have the crowd singing along. As a special surprise, The Bad Dreamers brings out writer, producer, and musician DRUMxWAVE to perform their song “Stars." With his emotionally charged vocals and retro sounds Schuler perfectly curates the mood and energy for what's ahead.
As the clock strikes nine, the stage glows in a rich blue hue. Two neon pink palm trees frame a sweet DW drum kit, elevated at center stage. As smoke begins to permeate the room, drummer Juan “Jay Cali” Calixto takes to his kit. Josh Dally walks onto the stage to applause as he picks up a sweet yellow Les Paul guitar.
To his right, an impressive setup shines in the light, which includes two laptop computers and two synthesizers. Timecop1983 takes to the stage as the packed crowd erupts. With a smile on his face and a look at his fellow musicians, Timecop1983 leads the Conduit on an electrifying journey. The power of music was truly upon us, for it seemed that with each note, chord, and beat played, we transcended back to a time of good memories and pure joy. Timecop and Josh seamlessly flow through their set, performing music from their earliest works to their most recent releases. Songs like "Take Me Back" and "Neon Light" have fans completely captivated. With his rich-textured vocals and skillful guitar playing, Josh Dally brings something truly special, especially on songs like "Falling" and "In The Rearview Mirror." Jay Cali's proficiency behind the drum kit added such a dynamic layer of depth to the night's journey. The strong connection between these musicians is evident by the pure joy on their faces, and Timecop's strong connection with his fans is truly special to witness. "River of Darkness" and "Static" truly revealed Timecop1983's talents and why he is so revered in the music community. The crowd is filled with excitement as Josh sings a cool rendition of The Outfield's 1985 hit "Your Love." The Bad Dreamers joins the gang on stage to perform "Back to You," lending his strong vocals. To stand back and appreciate the amount of talent standing on the stage was quite amazing. Timecop1983 and Josh Dally conclude the night with "Let's Talk," the song that ignited their decades-long collaborative partnership. The packed house is all smiles, united in the moment as they sing and dance, holding on to every last note.
To say that Timecop1983 delivered a night of just music would be an understatement. Jordy created a space where the world faded away, and for a few hours the four walls of the Conduit was transported to a place of nostalgia, freedom, and pure connection.
