May 14th, 2025, Memphis May Fire performed a sold-out show at The Underground. The Shapeshifter Tour consisted of Elijah, Wind Walkers and Caskets. With such a good lineup there was music for everyone. The crowd was all ages from older people to children. Everyone came together and enjoyed this concert.

Memphis May Fire is an American Metalcore band from Denton Texas. Signed to Rise Records. The band consists currently of lead guitarist Kellen McGregor, lead vocalist Matty Mullins, bassist Cory Elder and drummer Jake Garland. They released their eighth studio album on March 28th of this year called “Shapeshifter”. The album has so many hits, but my favorite is Paralyzed.
Memphis May Fire’s set was filled with energy and the crowd loved it. The pit grew with each song. They are known for their emotionally charged lyrics and aggressive breakdowns. They hold a solid place in the metalcore scene. Their sound has evolved in recent years and so has their stage performance. You will leave one of their shows feeling content and wanting more.
On a side note, about the venue, I would like to mention I have been to The Underground countless times. But this time was eventful. Towards the end of the night the pull tab on my earplugs ripped. Causing it to become stuck in my ear and start causing me to be in pain. It took a few minutes for the medic to come. But once I was taken outside, she was so calm and quick with removing the ear plug. Safe to say if you have any issues at The Underground. They will take care of you. Now did I shoot Memphis May Fire in pain? Yes. Was it worth it? Of course!
