Concert Review: The Machine- A Tribute to Pink Floyd at Infinity Music Hall in Hartford, CT

Rock band performs on a smoky stage under blue, purple, and yellow lights, with drums, guitars, keyboards, and Marshall amps

I listened to several tribute bands interpreting Pink Floyd’s music. Being part of the audience at Infinity Music Hall in Harford, CT, May 28 2026. The Machine is one of the best groups featuring the iconic songs, atmospheric soundscapes, and musical arrangements that made Pink Floyd one of rock music’s most influential bands.

Taking the stage with a list of talented musicians including Chris DeAngelis (bass, vocals), Scott Chasolen (keyboards, vocals), Tahrah Cohen (drums), and Ryan Ball (lead guitar, vocals), The Machine was terrific. The music was so pure and the emotion so high that fans at the venue cried when the group performed some of Pink Floyd’s iconic songs - Shine On You Crazy Diamond – Have a Cigar – Wish You Were Here – etc.

Known for their acclaimed recreations of Pink Floyd’s music and live performances, The Machine performed the legendary albums Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and Animals in their entirety during the concert. It was an exceptional night of music. From the beginning to the end, Pink Floyd fans had experienced a night of classic progressive rock. The Machine – the long–running Pink Floyd tribute band – delivered a full three-album Pink Floyd recreation.

The group went through each album to execute the entirely most celebrated songs of Pink Floyd. The skills of Ryan Ball and Chris DeAngelis were on display as they played the hit songs of Pink Floyd. As they played the second set and performed songs such as Breathe, Money, Pigs on the Wing, Brain Damage … we could perceive the images of Syd Barrett, the lead guitarist of Pink Floyd, and bassist Roger Waters through them. Tahrah Cohen, one of the Machine’s founding members, had also played the drums with the same energy and passion as Nick Mason, the drummer of Pink Floyd.

A great night of songs of Pink Floyd executed with brio by The Machine on Thursday, May 28, 2026. This was a complete success on their spring tour and one of the best shows they’ve staged in Connecticut.

ABOUT

Beginning as a cover band that played gigs local to the Rockland County, NY area, in 1989, The Machine is one of the oldest U.S. Pink Floyd tribute bands. Formed in 1988 by Tahrah Cohen and Joe Pascarell, the group started to perform full-time playing Pink Floyd Music exclusively and soon became one of the best tribute bands performing Pink Floyd songs.
