The Josey Scott Band, with vocalist Josey Scott, original voice of Saliva, took the main stage at Piere’s in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 20, 2025. The atmosphere was intimate. There is always something special about intimate shows like this one. The crowd was heavily into the whole show, including all of the exceptional openers. The first to take stage was The Precibus, followed up by Exit 73, Downshift, Days of Disaster, and then Maciann prepped the stage for Josey Scott Band.
The Precibus, from South Bend, IN had some killer vibes. They describe their sound as alt/prog, and they are for sure a power trio. They for certain had the crowd ready to party. I’m a sucker for a good alt/prog band, so they had my heart immediately.
Exit 73 had an old-school KoRn vibe, and I was loving it. From the sick as hell microphone stand, the long dark hair of the frontman, who was also rocking a KoRn t-shirt, they jammed the hell out. I will definitely be hitting up another Exit 73 show.
Downshift, from Richmond, IN came out next, and as always, rocked socks off. This was the 3rd time I have heard them play, and every time is better than the last. I’ll definitely be following their musical journey, as it has already taken them to great places with other great bands. Vocalist Jordan Payne has got some pipes, with some cool, clean vocals that are like the cold side of the pillow on a hot night.
Days of Disaster, some of the members from Ohio and some from Michigan, are a newer band that is quickly taking the scene followed Downshift. I was able to chat with the drummer, Paul Cobb before the show, and he’s a cool, laid-back dude that knows how to have a good conversation.
Maciann, from Indianapolis, IN popped out with her insanely talented band who have immense electrifying power. Frontwoman Maciann owns the voice of a rock goddess; it is energetic, powerful and will captivate you. Her energy is so positive, radiant and pure ROCK. This was the 2nd time I have had the privilege of seeing her. From the first show you go to, she will have your gaze locked-in. Highly entertaining and energetic. If you go see her, you won’t have the choice but to be in a good mood. Her presence is like a hug from a long-time friend. You can catch her July 12th in Fort Wayne, IN with Theory of a Deadman.
Josey Scott, in all his OG awesomeness, headlined the shit out of this show. You may be more familiar with Saliva, but he is the original voice of Saliva. He also worked with Chad Kroeger of Nickleback for the Spiderman soundtrack. You would probably know the song, “Hero”. We had the honor of hearing him perform this song live. He also did a KILLER cover of Rage Against the Machine. He had the crowd singing, jumping and rocking out. He interacted with fans after the show, and I love when artists do that for their fans. If you’re from Florida, you can catch him June 29th, 2025 in Fort Myers at Buddha LIVE.
As always, Piere’s was a great atmosphere. It’s always a good time there. If you haven’t been to a show at Piere’s, you should probably change that with a quickness. You will not be disappointed. This is one of my favorite venues for an intimate, up close and in your face experience.
