On Wednesday August 20, 2025, The Joe Perry Project landed at Hampton Beach Casino in Hampton, NH. Perry described the project as having a “revolving door” of musicians. For the tour, Perry got The Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson as the lead singer; Stone Temple Pilot’s rhythm section; bassist Robert DeLeo and drummer Eric Kretz; Aeromith’s Brad Whitford joining on guitar with longtime Aeromith’s sideman Buck Johnson on keyboards.
The show started at 8:00 p.m. with The Dirty Angels as the opener. The American rock band from Fairfield, Connecticut was terrific. Formed in 1979 by songwriter, bassist and co-producer Davil Hull, The Dirty Angels along with guitarist Pete Cassani and drummer Steve Hart, electrified the audience in New Hampshire.
The sold out show was terrific. The special admission tickets gave most of the audience access to any available seat, while the general Admission tickets allowed others to sit far away from the main stage. Any table was reserved for purposes only.
At Hampton Beach Casino, The Dirty Angels delivered a powerful performance, acclaimed by the entire fans in the room. The crowd’s reaction clearly indicated their love for the Dirty Angels music. Those musicians who took the stage first truly dominated their performance, creating an atmosphere of inexpressible joy that captivated the audience.

At 9:30 p.m. The Joe Perry Project’s band hit the stage. The American rock band formed by Aerosmith’s lead guitarist Joe Perry shortly before his departure from Aerosmith in 1979 was exceptional during their entire night of performance. Touring with a group of musicians full of talent, both emotionally and instrumentally, could explain the success of each concert performed by The Joe Perry Project during their 2025 Tour.
They opened the set with Let the Music Do the Talking, a song written by Joe Perry recorded by the Joe Perry Project in 1980 and later re-recorded by the re-united Aerosmith in 1985. They continued with a list of cover songs from different groups such as Aerosmith, The Black Crowes, Stone Temple Pilots etc.
The audience was excited. From their seats, people were singing, dancing, and repeating every word of the songs. As a longtime photographer, I have always been fascinated by rock bands. I believe as the Beatles, The Joe Perry Project just changed everything right across the board. They just had that right combination of talent, imagination and emotion that make the melody from their songs so pure and magnificent to anyone who gets exposed to their music as long as they can.
What was a terrific night of music? From the start to the end The Joe Perry Project was amazing.
