Concert Review: The Darkness Brought the Light to Archer Music Hall, Allentown, PA!

The Darkness brought their raw, energetic rock and roll to the new Archer Music Hall in Allentown, PA! This was my third time seeing The Darkness and they are as good as ever. They performed 20 songs in a just under 2-hour set throwing in a few surprises along the way.

They started the night off with Rock & Roll Party Cowboy to get the crowd going. The new venue has plenty of dancing room and that's what the crowd did. Next was Growing on Me which kept up the energy of the crowd. Between songs Justin went on a monologue pointing out some friends that were in the audience, one named Brian Langan, joined them later on stage to perform a cover of a Bryan Adam's song It's Only Love.

During Get Your Hands Off My Woman Justin slipped a few times on the stage and decided to ditch his shoes and socks to run around the stage barefoot. During this song he also engaged with a fan that was near the left side of the stage going back and forth with playful banter. The audience engagement during this show was top notch.

Their set was a great mix of classic tunes and fan favorites. For the encore they dusted off Conquerors, this was the first time they performed it since 2015. Bassist Frankie Poullain performed the vocals and Justin played the bass. They closed out the night with a cover of Guns N Roses, Sweet Child O Mine!

The Darkness once again proved that they are powerhouse musicians, with incredible stage presence. Their engagement with the audience made the fans feel appreciated and made it a memorable experience for all. I cannot wait to see them again.
