Concert Review: Rainbow Kitten Surprise - A Celebration of Resilience

Rainbow Kitten Surprise played at Vibrant Music Hall in Waukee, IA June 8th, 2026, to a packed house with no opener bringing a more intimate feel to a large venue. The first thing you need to know before you go see RKS is Ela's (lead singer) voice is somehow even better live. This is a band that brings true synergy and emotion to the stage. The relationship this band has with each other shines through their performance on stage. 

The band performed a 90+ minute set to adoring fans who knew every word of every song both old and new. RKS took full advantage of the large stage turning a concert into a true performance of artistic talent and creativity. The entire night felt like a rollercoaster of hype and heartache with every emotion being felt by the entire house. If you somehow weren't a fan at the beginning of the night, you were by the end. 

Just a few years ago RKS was on the verge of potentially hanging it up.
