Canadian singer Powfu performed at The Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas, Texas on his Lo-Fi Library Tour.
Best known for his song Death Bed (Coffee for Your Head), which blew up in 2020, Powfu started his music career simply by rapping over lo-fi beats. Before that, he spent a lot of time writing poetry, which ultimately inspired him to take the leap into making music.
Powfu had a very devoted audience that sang along to every song he performed. He even had his dad in attendance on tour—he sang him “Happy Birthday” and had him join in on one of his songs from his band Faber Drive. The entire show felt intimate, filled with special moments from beginning to end.
He performed “Break Ups Suck” on acoustic guitar and closed the night with both versions of “Death Bed” as encore songs. Despite the tour’s lo-fi theme, Powfu brought a surprising amount of energy to his performance. At one point, he asked the crowd to turn on their phone lights, creating a sea of lights swaying side to side as he sang.
Powfu is an artist who truly adores and appreciates his fan base and the people he brought along with him.
