Concert Review: Eggy and Real Estate at the Met in Pawtucket, Rhode Island

On January 7th, 2026, Eggy and Real Estate performed at The Met in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. A popular live music and entertainment venue, The Met is known for hosting a diverse range of genres like rock, punk, folk, and hip-hop and is an intimate no frills wonderful venue.

The show started at 8:00 p.m. with Real Estate as the opener. An American Indie rock band from Ridgewood, New Jersey, the group was formed in 2008. The band is currently based in Brooklyn, New Jersey, and consists of Martin Courtney (vocals, guitar), Alex Bleeker (bass, vocals), Matt Kallman (keyboards), Sammi Niss (drums) and James Richardson (guitar).

At The Met in Pawtucket, Real Estate played a list of songs from their six studio albums: Real Estate (2009), Days (2011), Atlas (2014), In Mind (2017), The Main Thing (2020) and Daniel (2024). The band is influenced by the Feelies, as Real Estate said to Still in Rock.

At 9:30 p.m. Eggy hit the stage. From New Haven, Connecticut, the four-piece jam band known for their eclectic style and high-energy life performances, blending funk, psychedelic rock, blues, and more is composed of Alex Bailey (drums, vocals), Jake Brownstein (guitar, vocals), Mike Goodman (bass, vocals) and Dani Battat (keys, vocals).

The group visited Rhode Island as part of their promotional tour for the new album, "Waiting Game". Co-produced by White Denim's James Petralli, Waiting Game, showcases the bands artistry through a concentrated and refined studio approach as a compliment to their exploratory live shows.

The sold-out show was exceptional. People were singing, dancing, and drinking. Fans went crazy throughout the night as they listened to different songs played by the band.

As a Jam Band, Funk, Rock, Psychedelic, Eggy gained significant traction in the jam scene, releasing albums like Watercolor Days (2019) and Waiting Game (2024), and touring extensively with their infectious grooves and high-energy live shows. The best description of Eggy is from the words of Bud Parker (Eggy manager) “I think Eggy is seeking personal truth through music and we're lucky to witness it.  The combination of talent and desire are unmatched anywhere on the scene. We certainly were luck to witness that”!
