Saturday November 2, 2024 – With many hundreds of people wearing decorative costumes; the Halloween party – live music show – at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, MA, was terrific. A general view of the place, with fans painting their faces and wearing Halloween dresses, has shown an environment full of joy, contentment and euphoria.
Everywhere in the room people were partying, laughing, drinking, singing, dancing, jumping. It was effectively a great night of music. Dominos, pet life, black and white striped suit, cowboy, horror costumes… all of those popular Halloween costumes were displayed at the venue.
It was so fun to see people getting together, sometimes in group of five or six, exposing their paint faces with a funny look at the camera. The live music show activities including the Halloween celebration made Soundcheck Studios party memorable. All the patrons were dressed up in crazy costumes and the venue was decorated for Halloween. It was effectively a celebration of love and commitment. Seeing everyone moving around and talking to each other really had amplified the party atmosphere.
Personally, as a photographer, it was so easy to move around and do my job. Detecting a group of people standing at the corner of the room, I introduced myself to each of them and we exchanged pleasantries. We said things which are polite and pleasant but not especially important. The main goal was to keep the conversation happy and not serious. Anyone enjoyed each other’s company. Some people just met for the first time and they got on immediately. They were strangers at the entrance door; they became friends immediately at the bar or in front of the stage. It was such an honor to capture with my camera the Halloween party at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke.
8:00 p.m. It was with a great excitement that the public welcomed the first group on stage. The south shore of mass has some amazing local bands and three of the best have played that night. As the opener, Chase Stebbins & The Only Known played some popular tracks such as Jeruz Cruise, Summer Sun, ULUVU, Kill Me, Slow 29 Palms, etc. The musicians were extremely excited to share their new music to the public.
“It’s an awesome reminder of the power of music and the ability to heal, the power of live music in the community”, said Chase Stebbins, the leader of the group.

At 9:00 p.m. the second group entered the stage. Based in Plymouth, MA, Mini Yellow Witches is a rock band formed in the summer of 2022 by longtime friends Jeff Hilliard (guitar/vocals) Chris Fey (drums/vocals), and Moppy Diamond (bass). According to their Facebook page, Mimi Yellow Witches is a band that’s focused on the listener’s experience. The sound combines ska with a little doo-wop, punk, roots, and reggae.
In fact, the group played a series of songs that can describe as a mixed of hard rock and reggae to entertain the public. Among them Highwayman (A 2024 single), B.S.O.D. (Blue Screen of Death): A 2024 single, Hangman’s Funeral: A song by Mimi Yellow Witches, Welcome to My Mind: the first track from the band’s debut EP.

At 9:45 p.m. after a brief intermission, the headliner 3rd Left entered the stage. Dress up in their best silver costumes – incredible musical attire – the musicians began the show with full energy. Playing the best Halloween songs, the audience was amazed to listen to a bunch of different songs from rock, pop, and country executed with brio by the group.
From them Monster Mash, Ghostbusters, This is Halloween, The Addams Family, Somebody’s Watching me, etc. were the most popular.
Saturday, October 2, 2024, at Soundcheck Studios, 3rd Left with very special guests, was throwing another epic Halloween Costume Party. As a photographer, I was so lucky to be part of it.
