Music Review: The Haunt Release New Single, Ghost!

The Haunt released their single “Ghost” March 6, 2026. This is the first single from their upcoming sophomore album “Ghost.”  The band is made up of siblings and dual vocalists Anastasia Grace and Maxamillion (Max).  Max is also guitars/production.  The band has an overall electro-gothic pop-punk sound.  Their musical project was launched in 2018 and they have shared stages with The Struts, Filter plus more.  

The single “Ghost” is short and sweet.  The dual vocals are clean and the chorus is catchy.  The guitar has a smooth yet gritty sound that blends nicely with the drum beat.  The song begins sweet and catchy with Anastasia’s intimate and polished vocals.  Max soon joins in during a grungy breakdown with his gravelly sound.  This creates the perfect contrast of sounds that melt into each other quite lovely.   The mixture of sweet and salty is an overall delicious noise for the ears.  

The lyrics feel like a diary entry with feelings of disconnection from a loved one.  It paints the haunting picture of realizing what it feels like accepting that a relationship has run its course.  It evokes thoughts of a love that did not last, but has a memory that lingers like a ghost. 

Listening to this song leaves me eager and in anticipation to check out the full discography and the new album.  To conclude, this band has a great sound with high potential. It was an enjoyable experience to listen to this single.
