Music Review: PINKNOISE New EP, FLESH AND BONE, Out April 17th, 2026

PINKNOISE, a genre-bending musical project, is set to release their new EP FLESH AND BONE on April 17th, 2026, and I would not sleep on this if I were you.  Scoring hundreds of thousands of followers on social media and racking up millions of streams in the span of just one year, they are a force to be reckoned with.  This EP is full of tracks that have seriously relatable lyrics that further exposes Foxx’s absolutely out of this world vocals.  At the front of the band, Kasey Foxx, talented beyond measure, non-binary, and dead set on telling their story as authentically as possible has absolutely taken the music world by storm.  Foxx loves the impact that the music has on the fans, developing a place of inclusion.   They are interactive online, so if you’re not following them yet, get online and get to it.

This album is a beautiful mixture of melodic R&B and metal goodness.  With a voice that reminds me of Emily Armstrong and an overall fusion of the familiarity of a good nu metal band with a fresh new original sound, I cannot get enough, honestly!  There’s something incredible about Foxx’s talent and ability to glide between smooth, caressing vocals to fry screams so effortlessly.  Fried and crispy with a melty core.  Delectable!

“WHY YOU SURVIVED” is a featured single on the EP and it is about a friend who survived a traumatic, near-fatal car accident.  It is packed with emotion and portrays how deeply we can love and care about someone.

As the tracks continue to play, I’m only filled with love for each song.  It takes you through a spectrum of emotions of the human experience.  I can see this album becoming a pivotal cornerstone to their career.  It’s an album that you can put on and have a good crash out.  It’s great for working out, singing in the shower, and screaming at the top of your lungs.   I can’t explain in enough detail how absolutely relatable the whole thing is.  It is immensely validating.

The track “TALK TALK” is the heaviest of them all.  The song radiates pure rage and is targeted to their haters online.  Kasey Foxx says, “TALK TALK” is my heaviest debut so far.  It’s extremely uncut, unfiltered, and fueled by anger.”  They also say, “I’ve never been extremely active on the internet until I was PINKNOISE, and being online is not for the faint of heart.  Just as in the first EP HUMAN=KIND I told a story that humans can be tender and lighthearted, I’ve learned in the last year they can be equally as vile and cruel.  This song takes a peek into my inner thoughts when I can’t block out the noise from the hatred being hurled at me through a screen.  It stays with you, it eats at you and takes over every thought inside your brain.”

The track “THE FUTURE IS PINK” is a cry for attention to the rarity of being true and real in a world that has become so fake.  It demands transparency and authenticity.  Stand out, be different, and who cares what anyone thinks?  It’s an anthem of not fitting in but thriving in that.

My favorite song on the EP, “RAIN” is a collaboration with Wind Walkers.  The beat lives in your chest, creates a hype within and feels like acceptance.  The lyrics, “I’m sick of it always pouring rain” and “got a cloud above my head and it’s drowning me... am I to blame” feels like the conversations I have with myself from time to time.  Like, why is it that everything is always going wrong, or so difficult?   The feeling of wanting to run away or be numb from all of it. Are we the makers of our own misery? This song is the perfect track for hopping in the car, rolling the windows down and taking a drive to clear your thoughts, and probably scream a little.

Track List:

  1. THE FUTURE IS PINK

  2. SING WITH ME

  3. TALK TALK

  4. FLESH AND BONE

  5. BITE MY TONGUE

  6. RAIN

  7. WHY YOU SURVIVED

This EP is loaded full of common thoughts, easy as hell to identify with and leaves you feeling heard, seen, and believed.  Every catchy chorus and each heavy riff and scream create an undeniable sympathetic connection.  Overall, I give this album 9/10.  The only problem that I have, is it left me wanting MORE!
