“Thunder only happens when it's raining” Velvety notes infused with raw and unfiltered

vocals, rung like church bells throughout the Las Vegas T Mobile Arena. The music

temple held 20,000 fans for the legendary Stevie Nicks. After rainstorm-soaked Sin City

the force of musical phenomenon delivered a beautiful and soul filling performance.

The crowd filled with black lace and velvet fan attire gathered together and had a true

Stevie experience. Hats of all sorts inspired by the iconic performer. At 77 years young

, the singer, songwriter and female icon is recovering from a shoulder injury. Yet still,

she continued to show up and perform the music, fans and families have been listening

too since the 70’s.

Running down a dream was her introduction tune as it blended into her cover of Not

Fade Away- Crickets Covcer.

Let’s rewind and give the new generation a review of the star of the night.

Stephanie (Stevie) Nicks started singing early in life, at 4 years old her musical roots

started to take. Alongside her father she was singing duets to start and by a budding 25

in, 1973 released her DUO Album with then partner Lindsey Buckingham. (

Buckingham Nicks was the debut album) later Mick Fleetwood picked the duo up and

together debuted the Fleetwood Mac songs and albums that grew to be the core songs

inspiring many future artists and carrying the generations to this day. After the drama

and the sex, drugs, rock and roll Rollercoaster she flew into her independent era.

Stevie started her solo career releasing Bella Donna in 1981 and here in 2025 she is

continuing to show out and show the world every performance that she is as magical

and talented as she knew she ever was. And still reminding those who didn’t believe

in her or those who lost her as a friend, or partner should still be stinging. That look at

me now, hear me across the decades be stronger than you know. She is living her

music and living her life to the fullest.

July 1981 “Bella Donna” her first solo album and soared to the top of the billboard

charts. This album held many hits including Tom Pettys song “Stop Dragging my Heart

Around” that originally was written by him and his team, but Tom knew that song was

destined to be performed with one of his closest friends. Tom was cherished dearly and

an inspirational man to miss Stevie. She continues to honor him and her other close

friend Christine McVie who has moved onto the next realm. The loss of them is

still lingering and when singing you can hear the hauntingly beautiful emotions off loss

and love piercing the hearts armor. During her song SDMHA photos and memories

splashed the visual boards sharing all the love and memories with her audience. Stevie

took the air from the crowd away with a cover of Free Falling, she wants to “write his

name in the sky, and free fall in into nothing and leave the world for a while”. Pure

raw feelings she expressed was felt intensely by the crowd. She exhaled her emotions

in each note, Eyes glistening and glossy across the arena gazing back as she

continued to pour her heart out note by note.

Landslide she ended the show with and again delivered a message of missing her band

mate and best friend Christine, while acknowledged she had many friends out there she

hasn’t gotten to see and dedicated that piece to her close friends. Photographs again

splashed the vision boards of Christine and Tom, occasionally she turned away and

when returning facing her fans too had glistening eyes that held everyone with every

word and note.

Love, friendship, music and memories that last a lifetime was shared, felt and carried

out into the world after her performance.

Stevie also got to share the Gypsy wardrobe of original shawls that have been

photographed for album covers and music videos. Like the blue one from the

Belladonna album cover.

Stevie talked how she has managed to keep going and revealed the secret to staying

young, is to keep dancing. During her recovery she battled staying still and confined,

because a Gypsy is meant to be free flowing and twirling way through the world. She

danced and encouraged everyone to keep dancing through life’s obstacles.

Gold Dust woman was a mind-blowing performance, prior to attending this show I had

heard skepticism about if she would sound the same as her earlier years or keep up

due to changes of life. I witnessed a 10-minute performance of Gold Dust woman and

not a note missed, nothing but excellence and still rebuking anything not meant for her.

Dreams had the Arena on their feet singing back to her what is clearly the greatest song

in all music history. (Well, that’s just an Alaskan Small town girl's opinion.) she strummed

her air guitar with a twinkle and spark, “players only love you when their playing" the

echo lingering with the broken-hearted notes the guitar players who played her heart

strings in the past passion phases of her maiden days.

Stevie cast her spells and twirled her way through another packed venue leaving

everyone spellbound and honored to of experienced a true spirituality reviving

performance. Church of Rock and Roll is alive and thriving. “When the rain washes you

clean, you’ll know”
