Concert Review: The Kid LAROI at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, Irving

Friday night in Irving had that buzz you only get when a crowd shows up early and stays loud. The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory filled in fast, and by the time the lights dropped you could tell this was a young, all-in crowd that came to scream every word.

WizTheMc opened the night and did exactly what an opener should do. He eased the room in and built the energy without rushing it. He ran through fan favorites like "For a Minute" and closed strong with "Show Me Love," which got the whole pavilion singing along. By the end of his set the place felt warmed up and ready for more.

Tommy Richman came out next as direct support and brought a completely different energy. He moves around the stage with this easy confidence, and his sound translates even better live than on record. The crowd was with him the whole way, but when he launched into "Million Dollar Baby" the entire pavilion erupted. Everyone knew every word, phones went up, and for a few minutes it felt less like a support set and more like the main event. He left the stage with the room fully his.

Then The Kid LAROI arrived and the place came apart. This run is in support of Before I Forget, his more personal, introspective record, and he leaned into it right away, opening with a few new songs off the album before pulling out the classics. Watching the crowd ride the new material and then absolutely lose it for the older hits was its own kind of fun. The production gave everything a bigger, more cinematic feel than just a guy and a mic.

The peak came late. When he went into "Stay" the entire pavilion sang it back at full volume, one of those moments where you look around and realize everyone is feeling the exact same thing at once. People left hoarse and happy.

For a stacked three artist bill, the night never dragged. Each set earned its place, and LAROI proved why he is headlining rooms like this. A great Friday for Dallas Fort Worth.
