Pink Talking Fish performed at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, MA, on November
28, 2025. I love their fantastic concerts, and this concert was phenomenal, in terms of
ambiance and attendance. It was a great show and a memorable night of music. The
venue was packed to the rafters with enthusiastic and devoted PTF fans. Some people
came from Cape Cod, Boston, New Hampshire and even Maine.
We were at the venue to listen to the hybrid tribute band that melds together the sounds
of three of the world’s most cherished bands – Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish.
With their remarkable lineup featuring the musical prowess of Eric Gould on bass,
Richard James on keyboards, Zack Burwick on drums, and Cal Kehoe on guitar, Pink
Talking Fish takes their music on another level. Eric, Richard, Zack, and Cal have been
playing together for 10 years and they are just phenomenal. Looking at their energy on
stage, there is no doubt that they share a profound love for the music of the bands that
they pay homage to, and their mission is to make people remember the debt they have
to some musicians such as David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Syd Barrett, Richard Wright,
Nick Mason, Bob Klose, David Byrnes, Jerry Harrison, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz,
Adrian Belew, Trey Anastasio, Jon Fishman, Mike Gordon, Page McConnell, who made
these extraordinary songs which after years and years are always fresh, invigorating,
and original.
As usual, a Pink Talking Fish concert was just extraordinary, and the band takes you on
an amazing music trip, which is hard to duplicate. The band's performance is always
terrific. Each show is different from the last and takes the concert to new places each
time. The success of the performance was not so much about the magnitude of
individual songs but it was about the whole.
The narrative of Pink Talking Fish is one that continues to evolve. and their live
performance is consistently nothing short of exhilarating. Listening to the band during
their live performance in Pembroke is an invitation to partake in the ultimate fusion
tribute, a unique celebration of music that leaves an indelible mark on your soul. Pink
Talking Fish shows are just a perfect and exciting night of music with great and talented
musicians. who share their vision of this incredible music. Those musicians love, live
and breathe the music and their purpose is to heighten the audience's passion for the
music by creating something different during each concert. They just did that at
Soundcheck Studios and I felt so lucky to be there.
