It was a Thursday night with freezing cold weather, and we went out to listen to what we thought would be great show on March 19, 2026. Several hundreds of fans were present to welcome Night Zero appearing at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, MA, along with Weird Phishes and this show was incredible!!!!
The show started at 8:00 p.m. with Weird Phishes as the opener. The New England-based jam band hit the stage with a line up comprised of Alex Glover (guitar, vocals), Pat Pingeton (bass), PJ Holaday (drums), Derek “D- Rokk” Dupius (keys, vocals), and Josh Knowles (violin, vocals). When I asked Alex Glover, the bands front man, about Weird Phishes significance, he gave a straightforward answer. Weird Phishes is exactly what it sounds like – the iconic melancholy rock songs of Radiohead and Phish completely reborn as danceable and crunchy. Their Jam band music with a fiddle is great and I loved it!
At 9:30 p.m. Night Zero came on stage. Night Zero is a jam‑fusion quartet made up of some of the most respected players in the modern jam scene. They’re known for deep improvisation, genre‑blending sets, and high‑energy live shows — the kind of band that thrives on stage rather than in the studio. Night Zero, formed by Rob Compa (guitar), Zdenek Gubb (bass), Adrian Tramamontano (drums), and Leon Campos (keys), delivered an outstanding performance throughout. The music transitioned seamlessly from one piece to the next, each song executed with precision.
Listening to Night Zero at Soundcheck Studios, the energy was infectious and the audience was delighted to be part of this extraordinary live music performance. The music was effortless, inspired and with razor sharp jams. I’m impressed that these talented musicians from other bands collaborated well enough to produce this incredible Jam music. I’m eagerly looking forward to their upcoming shows.
