Concert Review: Mihali at Off the Rails in Worcester, MA

On November 20, 2025, I went to listen to Mihali at Off The Rails, located at 90 Commercial in Worcester, MA. The sold out show was terrific, exceptional. Several hundreds of fans attended the concert. Inside the venue, people were loudly talking to each other, drinking, and sharing their live music experience. It was a great night of music.

The show started at 8:00 p.m. with Dale and the ZDubs as the opener. Inspired by Dale’s 2017 and 2020 incarceration for a non-violent drug crime, Dale and the ZDubs is a rock reggae band out of Washington DC. The band’s songs are about relationships, dreams, failures and people that have inspired or slept with them. The band has been known for their high energy live shows featuring hip-hop collaborations, multi-part vocal harmonies, and radical solos from bass, guitar, drums, keyboards, and harmonica.

The group is unique by telling raw, ridiculous, and vulnerable stories while thrilling audiences across the United States. As Snail describes the genre-bending quartet, “We are storytellers. And when we tell stories, there are no click tracks, no vocal processing, and no backing tracks. WE PLAY LIVE!

Collectively, Dale and the ZDubs have created a group that built tension, both lyrically and musically. The band members: Dale (vocals), Mike (electric guitar), Miles (drums), Sean (bass) are exceptional. They blend groovy reggae influences with a hard hitting rock style. I was so excited to be part of their live performance in Worcester.

At 9:30 p.m. Mihali as the headliner came on stage. A Mihali concert is a special event, a place to see other Mihali addicts and make new friends. It is a special experience to hear fantastic, some new tunes and other songs that we have heard for ages and absolutely love. Everyone’s emotions are high and you can shut your eyes and be consumed by the music. Mihali and his band members give all they have and the audience responds with extreme excitement and love. The Vermont-based singer, songwriter, guitarist, and co-founder of rock band Twiddle is terrific.

I have been following Mihali since before Covid, when he was the lead singer of Twiddle, a jam band from Vermont. I distinctly remember Mihali and friends first performance at Levitate Music Festival, and I admire their exceptional brand of unique music, Reggae meets Rock. The Horns were fantastic. This is a very tight band, well-seasoned and the music flows perfectly. Adrian Tramontano on drums, Scott Hannay on keys, Zdenek Gubb on bass, Michael Oehmen and Michael Bafundo on horns, are part of Mihali’s band. I am obsessed with this band and will follow them anywhere.
