Concert Review: Isaiah Rashad at The Pageant, St. Louis
Alemeda opened the night with an energetic performance that the fans loved, immediately establishing her presence on The Pageant stage. Her music switched between alternative driven songs to more soulful ballads. This created a beautiful contrast between the softer moments and the high energy performances. She easily connected with the crowd as fans sang along to her songs. She is an artist that is truly entertaining. If many people weren’t fans before, I’m sure they are now.
Isaiah Rashad headlined with a performance that felt much larger than a typical hip-hop show, combining his laid-back delivery with a meaningful visual presentation on the stage. Performing as part of his Lil Sunny’s Awful Road Trip tour in support of It’s Been Awful, he moved through a set that included newer material alongside some older fan favorites. His performance contained a mixture of high energy and raw introspection. Not only did he have a few fans on stage, but he also took a camera into the photo pit and interacted with the fans. The crowd was fully engaged from start to finish, making the night feel incredible.
