Dayseeker recently kicked off “The Pale Moonlight Tour”, a sold-out tour which included a stop in St. Louis, MO. VIP sold out quickly, with general admission selling out days after. That should be enough to prove what a great band they are. The tour featured three openers.
The first opener was sace6. I had never heard of them, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. As they started performing, I could hear some of the crowd singing along. The lead singer, simply known as Sace, belted out impressive vocals throughout their set. I was pleasantly surprised with their music and instantly became a fan of their unique songs.
Next up was Wind Walkers. These guys had some incredible energy, and the crowd interaction was elite. Each member performed with pure devotion to their craft. The crowd would vibe to the slower melodies and rage to the metalcore until the end of their set.
The final opener was Northlane. Hailing from Australia, they brought some more fun to the stage. The stage was still primarily dark as the band began to perform. Lead singer, Marcus Bridge, came out and the crowd watched in awe as he sang passionately at the front of the stage. I enjoyed his sound, but what caught my eye was the contrast of dark attire with the bright, glowing eyes of guitarist Jonathon Deiley. The crowd continued to mosh to the music until the songs slowed and it was time for the headliner.

The venue became more packed, and the pit became more energetic as we waited for Dayseeker to grace the stage after the openers. It was absolutely worth the wait. The lights went out, excited screams began to echo through the pit, and the band made their way to the stage. The stage started to illuminate again and the lead singer, Rory Rodriguez, was there to hype the crowd up during their entrance. “Pale Moonlight” began to play, and the crowd sang along to the beautiful vocals. You could feel the emotions of the crowd as they swayed, raised their hands, hugged, and moshed while the band performed. Guitarist Mitch Stark, from the band Silent Planet, was a great fill in for the tour and did an incredible solo breakdown during “Crying While You’re Dancing.” This was my fourth time seeing Dayseeker live and their shows are consistently a wonderful and emotional time.
