The Cab officially kicked off their first headlining tour in over a decade at The Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas on May 22, 2026.
Starting off the night was the band Jady. Their dynamic blend of alt-rock got the crowd moving. Frontman Jarrett Doherty captivated the crowd with his high energy and fan involvement, keeping the crowd on their toes with excitement. Rounding out this high-energy set is the punchy drum stylings of Ashton Bergdorf, whose driving pace was on full display. Jady was a perfect complementary opener going into The Cab.
This run marks the band's first headlining tour following a hiatus that Alex DeLeon delved into, sharing his struggles with rehabbing his vocal cords after his diagnosis of vocal cord scarring. The crowd of die-hard fans were buzzing with excitement, and The Cab didn’t disappoint, pulling out every aspect the band has to offer. They opened up with their new single "Locked and Loaded," even incorporating a medley of '90s pop covers. The night was packed with The Cab classics, even playing "Intoxicated" in full for the first time on tour. The night was full of long-time fans, and Alex reminisced over where the band had been and where he sees the band going, even pointing out that those who grew up on The Cab are now bringing their kids into the fandom. After a night of memories and teary-eyed fans, it wouldn’t be a Cab show without ending on a bang with "Angel with a Shotgun." It’s safe to say The Cab was missed; their future is brighter than the Vegas skies.
